I asked if the tweet you are claiming to have read on Twitter saying PS5 sold 10m units so far, if this tweet links to AMD's official Q4 report?

That's all I am asking. It's basically a yes or no question.

Is it backed up by AMD's official Q4 report of 2024?

They are probably clearly thinking about it.

But in the end, no, I don't believe that Playstation's biggest IPs will see the day of light on Xbox at least until current-gen is over.

And then they'll probably evaluate again if Xbox Next turns out to be only another PC.

I find it highly unlikely that the president of Sony agrees to throw Playstation's biggest asset overboard only for a 70-cut of an Xbox software sale.

The revenue growth in Xbox' Q4 (April to June '25) compared to last year's Q4 is totally driven by:

• GP price increase from last year's July (18% price increase in average)

• +1m GP subs since February '24

• And especially their releases on Playstation between April and June

And STILL:

This amounts to overall only +10% in gaming revenue compared to last year's Q4 revenue. ...

Phil Spencer is the CEO of 'Microsoft Gaming', the parent of 'Xbox'.

Please, go do your homework.

Good gosh.

I know that you're right. I'll pass on him now.

I thought I read "Microsoft Corp" in the publisher's column.

"Xbox", the identity of Xbox, ain't the biggest sales force in Playstation.

It's Microsoft.

Microsoft, that had bought two of the industry's biggest publishers and ~25 of their multiplatform IPs, and now continue to publish them as current owner of said IPs.

This would be the true and accurate description of the current state.

Without any flamatory intention of once again stirring up a console w...

I don't get the opinion piece's conclusion why especially this (!) case would have anything to do with a logo on a box.

Even in our personal lives we dislike it when someone cheats their way up the ladder.

Tencent should at least (!) explain themselves in front of a judge. Wether the judge dismisses the case or not.

And frankly, I could understand it, from my perspective, if the judge would have a verdict in favor of Sony.

The most important fact to keep in mind is that this is only calendar year 2024.

You, by necessity, would have to consider all the development time and costs for Indiana Jones.

Period January, 1st 2024 - December 31st, 2024

• Revenue: ~44.3m USD
• Operating income: ~2.6m USD

I believe the description of "utilizing hardware to its fullest" must be closely tied to two things:

• Engine coding/optimization
• Time

If PS3 and 360 were still current-gen hardware, I'd bet all the engines (optimization) out there would have gained so much effectiveness (time) utilizing hardware capabilities.

In a sense, it's almost sad that console hardware cycles "rush" through 6 to 7 years, giv...

It's safe to assume that manufacturers dream of only digitally purchasable games and add-ons.

The realm of possibilities to monetize it is almost infinite.

I really, really hope that at least one of them sees the potential of growth the other way around and changes the course of it to a more consumer friendly approach.

Just imagine the good PR and attraction to gamers if, let's say PS6 would introduce a program to finally share ...

I didn't watch any gameplay or deep dive.

But I'm pretty confident Ghost of Yōtei could behave in the MC and OC ratings just like Death Stranding 2 does:

A borderline-ish 89/90/91 game and a quite clever evolution & improvment over Ghost of Tsushima.

IF that's going to be the case, which I have no real reasonable doubts it could be, then I think it could receive several nominations at the Game Awards, perhaps even Game o...

I noticed a bit of instability lately.

Good they again fixed it quickly.

Thanks.

No problem.

The Game Pass price was increased in two subsequent years, and would even be for a third time in a row if rumors turn out to be true.

It's hard for me to keep up.

"Im actually curious if any of those agreements come with an exclusivity clause?“

That was their initial plan.

Spencer and his team actively tried to convince third-party publishers (such as SEGA, Ubisoft, EA, Square Enix) to distribute games exclusively via Game Pass at times - ideally even Day One.

I really wonder why many people seem to have forgotten about that. It appeared in the leaked documents in the FTC trial.

Mattrick set the bar (very low), and today Spencer is trying to dig underneath it.

I don't care about any opinion from Xbox nerds.

Phil Spencer took your hopes and continues to burry them for 14.99/year.

Plot twist:

At the end, you won't even own your hopes anymore, just like GP.
