'Playstation' 4 : 'Xbox' 0.
Just for you again.
Not so bad of an idea, wonder if that'd be something Christopher can discuss or think about.
I had been visiting N4G for 8-9 years already before I had created an account.
So, sadly, this again is the next website I liked visiting for years that's undergoing huge changes, basically being closed, in a sense.
It was fun, it really was, and I'm feeling a bit sad tbh. Thank you all and to the team of N4G!
I guess it's a matter of at what price the retail itself decides to offer it. I'm seeing price hikes, but still under Sony's official.
At this point in time, to me it's definitely clear we're dealing with an ill mentally conditioned person here.
(Not being meant sarcastic, but like I have to be aware of it.)
At least in this regard of creating hundreds of accounts in an online community that's discussing videogames (it could be any other theme than videogaming, too).
Never thought Obscure would be going THAT far. Ofc I perceived him as a certified Xbox fan,...
Clever.
How do you manage – ideally without too much pushback from the community – to remove one of your highest-grossing IPs from a subscription service?
An IP that they bought at great expense just a few years ago and included in D1 specifically ‘to’ promote that very subscription?
I’m sure this move had been decided on for some time.
(… and another move they were able to make in the same breath: ultimately, to push...
... and it's not even a native Xbox IP.
If you'd substract every IP they've released since 2018/2019, but had only bought somewhat years ago, then ... man, what a desert of content.
Didn't know the Golden Joystick fan votum was considered one of the "major awards"?
I always thought it's "only" the Big Four - VGA, Bafta, GDC and DICE.
Nonetheless, congrats to Clair Obscur!
Very nice trailer.
I really don't understand to this day what could be so complicated about the concept of providing the hardware, you took efforts to build in the first place, decent to great extra games.
'Exclusive' has become such an ill term lately. When the 'ex' is more like 'extra' rather than excluding anyone.
Since it's a free choice of buying or not buying either hardware, and since it's every manufacturer's free and own choi...
When you're looking at all the other studios using and improving their inhouse engines, it's kinda funny Bethesda haven't managed to get their own engine running like buttercake for 15 (!) years straight now.
I mean it's their own tech.
7.5 billion dollars. There they'd gone ... into the Starfield.
«Definitely the engine needs work or years of investment in either a new engine or shifting the team to another engine.»
So how come that ain't laziness when they haven't done so yet. In four years time, it's 2030 already. Are you kiddin?
Good Lord. Could they just please drop that seizure of an engine already.
In the past 15 years - how many of these accusations around the globe in the gaming industry have eventually turned out false?
I'd say none. None that I can remember.
I really don't know what's been going on at Xbox. I bet there's a ton people could talk about but locked behind NDA's.
@Reaper
What are these games exclusively to Xbox Series?
It definitely did not serve the Xbox Series generation well to have had so many too early announced/shown/canceled projects.
It's a totally valid criticism towards the former executives running the show, and I think it's almost safe to say that they had misled parts of the Xbox community, wether with intent or not.
Some million Series adopters could have easily saved their money and could have gotten a PS5 instead, especially considering the curre...
That's a fine & totally resonable statement.
I agree.
«You think them releasing almost 90% of their entire ps5 exclusive portfolio on PC was just out of kindness or a gift?»
No. They wanted revenue. They got it. But it appearantly didn't reach their expectations.
«that was the past and now currently plans have changed»
Exactly.
And a new change of the current state will happen very soon again, with Xbox Helix and Steam Machine.
...
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
