Game Pass shows its full conceptual strength seen in times like these:
Many games D1, you can't really decide which one to play first.
The downside for MS though:
You need those subscriptions, because they lose revenue usually gained from retail.
If this ratio is not balanced pro Gamepass, then it will be an incredibly expensive year to bring so many D1 games into the GP in 2025.
Hogwart's, Indiana, Astro Bot & Monster Hunter - that's a pretty nice top 4 once again.
I bet MachineGames are quite happy about the sales pouring in.
Year-on-year so far:
PS5
• Jan. -31%
• Feb. -7%
• Mar. -11.1%
X|S
• Jan. -48%
• Feb. -21%
• Mar. -27.5%
Yes, I don't mind, tbh.
Although Yotéi wouldn't be a big threat to GTA6 I assume, it's okay to me if every party wants to release their AAA game with no bigger competition around.
But if the assumption towards GTA6 is true, it could also mean that GTA6 could have been even delayed, instead of the release date being finalized.
Feels like they've just learned about the release date of GTA6.
... and quickly secured themselves October's 1st week before anyone else does.
Great!
Sounds like a new State of Play or maybe even Showcase could be happening soon.
In the first 3 minutes of the podcast, Yoshida instantly says that since he has left, he's showing up in various different podcasts.
I mean that's just honest right? Which means that he is self-aware of it and isn't acting like they all should be grateful.
He's 30+ years of Playstation, and probably 40 years of Sony. I am convinced he hasn't even scratched the stories and anecdotes yet he could actually tell.

This article reads like an ad.
What are these so called Xbox Games? Hellblade 2, Starfield, Call of Duty, Indiana Jones etc.? All 3rd party IPs Xbox didn't create, but bought.
Oh, and:
Thanks again for all the betatesting the Xbox community pays for, before all these 3rd party multiplat games come back to PS5 and PS5 Pro Enhanced eventually, either way. With 30% bonus for free.
One hand washes the other.
Right?
Well, I perceive revenue as an important factor.
Because from revenue, you cover all the expenses.
So if, let's say, Sony are producing 10 AAA 1st party games within a span of one fiscal year (just for the means of an example), but only zero profit is left, that doesn't mean 30B worth of revenue wasn't important.
It was important to cover the on-going development expenses.
But the thing about Microsoft/Xbo...
Didn't we have that already?

Tom Warren: Bethesda Have Been Working on PS5 Starfield "For a While"."
https://n4g.com/news/266013...
So.
Shadows had sold-through 1 million units across PS5 (711k) and Steam (288k) two days after release.
And they announced 2 million players in total also after two days.
Interesting to see how these "player" numbers are different from actual sales.
Xbox' actual sales numbers are probably in the same ballpark compared to total player numbers they've switched to announce only now.
"its cause the game itself is fundamentally broken asf"
Thanks.
I hate the rambling around pretty obvious things.
Such as, like you said, Starfield is just a big pile of broken code.
The latest news about Starfield's developmental environment just proved it.
I mean, you can't deny that when he said it, he clearly must have been thinking of some kind of relationship with Games Science regarding Black Myth.
However, this still is no confirmation an exclusive deal was made.
But obviously there was something going on, otherwise he just wouldn't have thought about Black Myth when answering the question.
Thank you very much for the explaination. That's exactly how I feel about these upscalers.
And this feeling originated from, as one example watching DF tech videos.
And from them coming to the conclusion that there's a sacrifice being made by developers using upscaling.
(And that DF for that matter, although they actually have the knowledge about what's going on beneath, probably rather committing to their business model ...
Fast forwarding it's going to be interesting to see how PSSR will have evolved since 2024 once the PS6 is one month or so away from release.
Personally though, I gotta admit I am still not that keen towards upscalers.
Since I've got that feeling that they've been somewhat invented to just reduce costs and therefore sacrifice quality.
But, yeah, dunno, maybe it's just me.
I see.
Well, then there's that. I gotta say that I really must have missed that AMD news then. Maybe I was out of town or something.
But yeah.
From gut-feeling (=having followed the Xbox quarterly reports) alone, I don't agree on the 32m figure on VGChartz, either.
Some weeks ago I noticed that they indeed had adjusted them down by 600-700k.
But there was a news in the Wall Street Journal la...
Geniuenly interested:
Why do you think that?
Thank you! :)
I even upvote your congrats!
Not my type of game, not very much interested in it, but:
Damn, I just love reading news like this when smaller studios threw out universally acclaimed games & collecting their sales trophies deservedly.
Congrats!
