I get a huge Gantz vibe from this, what with monsters existing in secret in urban Tokyo and being able to recruit people from all walks in life to face them. I'm a sucker for a good urban fantasy story too (ShinMegaTen 4 life). Fingers crossed ot lives up to the promise and comes out on PS4.
What I've always found most baffling is Microsoft's attempts to market the XB1 family as multimedia rigs to lure in non-gamers, trying to get people to use it for something other than gaming just smacks of madness to me. The only thing they're doing, I think, is bringing into contrast weaknesses in the system and veering away from their base. Remember when Microsoft had trumpeted that deal with the NFL? No, you don't, cause NO ONE CARED. And the fact remains that, in this day ...
Slow and steady wins the race. If there's one word that defines Sony this gen, it's "consistency." They have consistently churned out the quality exclusives, they have consistently had the bigger library, consistently had the better online service, consistently had better technology (the PSVR has been a moderate hit), etc. Mcrosoft has been trying to reinvent the wheel trying to make stronger hardware trying to woo consumers, but Sony simply keeps the games coming and the ha...
Can anyone corroborate this: I installed the 1.51 update this morning (I have a vanilla PS4), and my framerate's gone to shit. Anyone else having this problem?

The thing I do think is way more complicated now is to restore derelict ships and to upgrade through drop pods. Now it requires a lot of scavenging of rare materials to repair a ship enough to use it or upgrade your exosuit. However, it does mean that it is much more rewarding to do so, and the game does give you many more sources of easy income. Those salvage materials you use to buy blueprints from your base are VERY lucrative when sold, so now trading your ship with another pilot for their...
I've been wanting a Fallout game set in Florida for years! Just imagine, mutant gators and rednecks in the Everglades, post-apocalyptic Disney World, Cape Canaveral, the Strip, it's got s much potential!
The worst games are usually crap that no one has heard of, rightfully banished to obscurity because of their badness. Except for Superman 64, which is indeed absolutely horrid, none of these games should be in a worst ever list (Sonic 06 comes close, though).
I'm not gonna say one is better than the other cause it's an apples and oranges comparison. Other than the fact that they're both open-world Western RPGs, they have nothing in common.
Throwing in my 2 cents, though, I've played Skyrim waaaay more than Witcher 3 simply because of how much longevity I can give it through modding. Anyone who's never olsyed modded Skyrim is castrating a LOT of potential enjoyment and longevity from the game.
"The game lets you live out your fetishes and sexual fantasies."
A game where I can be pegged by a BBW while being whipped by a big-dicked Black man covered in cocoa butter? SOLD!
Days Gonr and Metro, cool.
Anthem and Crackdown 3, I'll believe it when I see it. Both those games have been in development hell for the longest time with nothingnto show for it.
Huh? The Surge 2? Oh, I'm sorry, I can't hear you over all this Sekiro.

-Presentation: Microsoft.
-Games: Sony. Microsoft might have had more games, but pretty much all of them are coming to PS4 too, and Sony's exclusives are second to none.
-Loser: Nintendo. Holy crap, this was the worst Nintendo Direct EVER. Other than the new Smash it had NOTHING to offer, and not showing any Metroid was a HUGE disappointment for me.
Not to mention one thing about the game's look: THE COLORS. Even amid the browns, grays and blacks of the battlefield you see lots of green and splashes of red. AND THAT SUNSET.
It's not that you won't have enough ammo, it's that using guns is a tactical decision just because of how dangerous it'll be to make noise and stuff. If you're getting swarmed by a fuckload of zombies, fire to your heart's content. In fact, they already showed a trailer in which the main guy is holding hordes at bay with a rifle, so gunplay is obviously viable, if risky.
Good guys Bethesda doing right by us once again :)
The main problem is that while, yes, Microsoft had the best conference, it was more because of 3rd party announcements than 1st party titles, so they're basically giving free publicity for PS4 and PC.
You know who's not complaining about PS4 lacking crossplay? PS4 OWNERS.
@bouzebbal Not to mention thst few games give you as much friggin' bang for your buck as Monster Hunter World. I only spent the initial $60 for admission and there's STILL loads of DLC for free dropping every few weeks. It's friggin' amazing.
Still, I'm crossing my fingers for Dragon's Dogma 2...
