No, now it has 1ST PARTY woes. Where the fuck where Metroid and F-Zero??
I trust CD Projekt Red more than pretty much every other developer right now. I'm sure the game will be fantastic. Here's a few points defending the 1st person perspective:
-They wouldn't allow your character to be customized if you can see him/her, so it's obvious cinemas and dialogue scenes at the very least will show your character, along with probably stuff like cinematic kills.
-1st person view allows you to better appreciate the surroundings, and that i...
@thorstein And you forgot RESIDENT EVIL 2 REMAKE. That game is gonna be THE TITS :)
@Thatguy-310 100% agreed. I ADORE the Metro series, but it's not a blockbuster series by any stretch (although this might be the game that gets it there), and after that terrible showing at EA's conference this year, I have very little faith in Anthem. Hell, that game looked so undercooked that I predict it'll either be as broken at release as Mass Effect Andromeda or worse. That, or it'll get delayed. What I do know is that, of those three, Days Gone is DEFINITELY the game th...
So far, the game looks much more entertaining than any other "zombie" game on the market. The scene in the trailers where the protagonist locks himself in a car cause he's getting swarmed by psychotic birds chilled me. Zombies are bad, but also played out. But FAUNA attacking you with that ferocity? That shit is scary as hell.
Glad they're sticking to their guns (no pun intended). The backlash over this is beyond petty and chauvinistic. We don't need people within the game's community with such a repugnant attitude.
No Metroid Prime, no F-Zero, no Animal Crossing, no major game announcements. How the FUCK is this a winning presentation? How can anyone shit on Sony and Microsoft's conferences and praise this one? Pure hypocrisy.
EXACTLY, they still have PSX later this year. And Sony showing us so much gameplay of the big four games coming shows that they've been busy and that the games are very close to completion. No other company in the show showed any game anywhere near as polished, except Bethesda with Fallout 76 and maybe Ubisoft with Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Ubisoft didn't show any other game at that level. Microsoft and EA showed practically no gameplay for their games, and Bethesda's big ...
Oh yeah, they're running out of games. It's not like they're getting every single multiplatform game showed by every other conference in the show, INCLUDING Microsoft's. See, Sony, along with Nintendo, have a pretty novel idea: they show the games THEY make and the ones that are coming for THEIR systems. You're telling me Sony is running out of things to share when Microsoft didn't show a single frame of gameplay from their exclusives and milking the same IPs again and...
Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding look like utter crap.
You just played yo'self, son.
"Sony conference had the best games but we're gonna find something negative to say in a conference where the main purpose is games." Got it. This is clickbaiting bullcrap. Sony had more exclusives, some new game announcements and T-O-N-S of gameplay for their big four upcoming flagship games. I dare say they showed more gameplay than every other conference combined. I mean, this guy dares to complain about the Sony conference's FORMAT? After UBISOFT? He's obviously click...
Todd is a class act. You can tell he genuinely loves the business and is legitimately passionate about the games he makes.
Bethesda knocked it out of the goddamn park. Loads of exciting new games, Fallout 76 looks incredible and they confirmed both Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 for next gen. This will be the show to beat this year.
As a confessed Sony fanboy, I gotta admit, Microsoft had a solid conference this year. Good job.
The fact that I have to upgrade to a 4K TV to make the game footage look halfway decent does NOT make me hopeful.
That was a bad host, this was a bad CONFERENCE.
That's Sea of Solitude. And I agree, it looks heartfelt and emotional.
"Spectacular gameplay"? WHERE? They barely showed anything! Not to mention that what little they showed looked choppy as hell and generic.
I have no clue how Anthem is making its February 2019 release date, cause that looked undercooked as hell. The framerate was all over the place and they did not show any substantial gameplay footage, since they probably don't have the game anywhere near a playable state. I'm calling it right now: it'll be delayed or it'll be released in a state that makes Mass Effect Andromeda and Battlefield 4 look like God of War.
It makes sense. From what we've seen in gameplay so far, the zombies SWARM you with the quickness, so shooting someone becomes a tactical decision between a quick and easy kill vs. not attracting the swarms. I fail to see how this is a mechanic that will piss off people, especially since games like Dead Island, Dying Light or, hell, even Resident Evil 4 already had it. If you want a game where you can just slaughter every zombie in a shower of lead, go play Call of Duty.
