What Microsoft Needs to do at E3 2018: a miracle. Sony and Nintendo are gonna wreck them hard.
SO WHAT IF IT IS AN MMO? I've been waiting for the Fallout MMO since before Fallout friggin' 3, when Interplay were working on it and Van Buren.
The location is also significant: the Virginias are adjacent to what would become the Capital Wasteland, so I wouldn't be surprised if Vault 76 houses important government officials and valued civilians like scientists, historians, military, etc.
Lemme throw a few facts your way:
-Vault 76 was already mentioned in canon in Fallout 3 within the Citadel's computers. It is one of Vault-Tec's control vaults, so it was meant to work exactly as intended: a population of 500 vault dwellers with supplies and technology to support them for 25 years until the vault's eventual opening post-bomb.
-The game is set in West Virginia, a literal stone's throw away from Washington DC.
-The year 2076 has massiv...
That song gives me goosebumps. I'm from the fucking Caribbean and I can still feel the emotion behind it.
76=2076=ANCHORAGE.
That date is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to significant in the Fallout timeline for a glorified Fallout Shelter.
You're still right, though.
PUBG are digging their own grave. This is an obviously frivolous suit, since Epic not only can finger other battle royale games that existed before PUBG to show that they don't own the claim to the genre, but Epic can leave PUBG hanging with the game engine (since PUBG is made on Unreal Engine) and, once they win the lawsuit, they WILL countersue them to oblivion. Remember Silicon Knights?
I'm predicting early 2021 at the earliest for the PS5, there's just too many games on the pipeline for it to come out sooner. Plus, if the PS5 is backward compatible, it's in Sony's best interests to have the biggest PS4 library possible before release, especially if they make patches to upscale them for PS5. And an 8 year lifespan between console releases is pretty much par for the course for Sony, no surprises there.
Yes, having multiple consoles guarantees you won't miss out, but it doesn't change the fact that the XB1's library is anemic as hell. If you're gonna have multiple platforms, the PS4 and a gaming PC is the way to go. The PC gets all the console-exclusive XB1 games, and the full exclusives are honestly not a big loss since there's just so few of them, while the PS4 IS worth buying for it's insanely robust exclusives library.
@ocelot07 You'll have a blast, dude. That game is equal parts dramatic, action-packed, emotional and gut-bustingly funny.
Yakuza 0 is the perfect launching pad. It gives you the origin of both Kiryu and Goro Majima, and is a great setup for Yakuza Kiwami, the remake of Yakuza 1. Yakuza 0 is straight-up one of the best games in the series, to boot.
Regardless of the "in-game engine" thing, this could be the game that makes players cheer for Dice again and beat COD. From what's been seen, the game has quite a lot of single-player content, and the no-frills multiplayer with heavy customization and no lootboxes is very much welcome. Black Ops 4 already dropped the ball with trying to ape the battle royale fad and ditching single-player, so it's Dice's game to win.
So, a multiplat, a multiplat, a multiplat... um, a multiplat and OH! A multiplat!
Yakuza 3 has THE most heartbreaking moment in the entire series. Seeing Kiryu CRY (and not just manly tears running down his face, but WAILING in grief) friggin' messed me up. That's the moment I went from being a fan of his to him becoming my ABSOLUTE favorite videogame character of all time. He has a depth of character and humanity to him that no other game protagonist can come close to.
Well, from the reception these last two years of Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 6, so does EVERYBODY.
Thanks for the heads-up, Major Nelson XD
Note to Microsoft: EXCLUSIVE GAMES SELL CONSOLES.
@Markusb33 I think that's a lock. PS3 backward compatibility on the PS4 was simply not feasible because of how drastically different the PS3's Cell Processor architecture was. But the PS5 is basically the same architecture but with much more processing power and RAM, so it's like upgrading a PC and playing older games in it. And Microsoft making such a big fuss about backward compatibility is gonna bite them, cause if they announce their successor system at the same time as the PS...
How is Too Human not on this list? That game is the very definition of XBox-exclusive garbage. Hell, it lead in part to its developer's bankruptcy.
