Winning Eleven and Pro Evo are the same game!!
Except you discount the fact that as trendy as it has been the last few months for the gaming media to talk about 'revolutionizing' gaming, ala the Wii, many consumers do care about the graphics, HD display, established online service, more polys on screen, etc. When you look at say Madden on all three systems, the Wii looks woefully underpowered compared to the other two systems. In fact, it looks about the same as the original Xbox. This DOES matter to many people, in fact, the majority of ...
It's just another example of the desperation of Sony fans.
Sure, MS is using it first on a console, but that's because they are the only ones with a new console on the market. If this strategy takes off, all consoles will use it. Plus, it's not like this hasn't been done before. MMORPGs on PCs have been doing this already. Companies are in it to make money. This includes all of them, the developers, MS, Sony, and Nintendo.
We have to speak with our wallets. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Without consumers' money, companies aren't ...
XNA has been talked about since the early Xbox days, long before Sony decided what was going to be included in the PS3. Sony, as marketing hype, has talked about 'homebrew' to divert hype from MS's XNA endeavours. XNA was actually originally designed as part of MS's very good developer support. In addition, XNA can be used by home users.
Wow, you must be pretty special to have already played PS3 games, used the online service, and know the outcome of the media format war. Yeah, you MUST be special. Also, you seem to know that PS3 online play will be free when Sony has only stated that they will leave it up to developers. Therefore, you must know what's in the mind of every developer. That's amazing. You can look at hardware spec sheets for both consoles and deduce that the PS3 is WAY more powerful, even though the specs don't...
This is great both for devs and home users. This is why you'll see many more games from developers on the 360 than the PS3. MS makes it easier for them and saves them money. Plus, the idea of user content is outstanding. It's the one thing PC users really have over console users. Now that's changing. Good stuff.
This story is just plain dumb. It's just people crying for attention. I was watching a TV show and I farted. Therefore the TV show must make me fart. Stupid.
Actually, I think it's the other way around. I think Sony is the one sh1tting their pants. Sony was the king, remember. They are the ones with the bad press recently. They are the ones losing exclusive games by the day. They are the ones losing fans to MS, not the other way around. They are the ones who have been in the red for years now, and if bluray doesn't succeed, will most likely splinter or go under as a company.
MS has more money than many nations and will not be in any...
Good stuff.
What an uniformed sounding comment.
This is just some moronic group of toads trying to grab a piece of the pie with out actually earning it. This lawsuit doesn't look like it's going anywhere as the features of these patents have been around for a lot longer than the patents in many electroninc devices. Video games are just very popular now and look like a juicy target. MS will brush this lawsuit aside like a bug and Nintendo probably won't have much problem with it either.
What a worthless article. First off, it's crap. Secondly, he's so utterly biased it's ridiculus. If PS3's don't sell by the truckload, then he stands to lose money. So of course he'll say this. nVidia has officially entered the world of the Sony hype machine, a lot of hot air with no real substance. It reminds me of Sony with their Sony Pictures group, when they invented that fake movie critic a couple years ago that gave all Sony Pictures' movies great reviews. Then of course, they got buste...
Looks great. Looked to be running smooth, too. Definate purchase.
Sony's biggest problem is not its non-caring attitude towards its consumers, MS, or even Nintendo. It's the fact that it is run by complete morons.
MS never said that they'd have 3-4 million units out by Xmas. MS's only prediction was 5.5 million by the end of June, which by the way, they are at least close. Sony is saying what they are saying even though they know it won't come true. This is the pure definition of HYPE, or in other words, bullshit. As mentioned in my previous post, Sony is worried that 'on the fence' consumers will flock to the 360 if they can't get a PS3 this Xmas. Hence, Sony HYPE. Any company will have shortage probl...
That's exactly the point. MS had shortages, so will Sony. There is absolutely no way Sony will sell 3 million by Xmas. There will probably be a demand for it, but Sony won't be able to meet it. The hardware isn't even finalized yet. Plus there will be defects, returns, etc. A worldwide launch is tough. There's bound to be shipping issues, manufacturing issues, etc. It's just the way it is for such a complicated endeavor and is why worldwide launches were not commonplace for consoles before th...
#18, you by far sound like the most brainwashed poster on this thread. The article was very unbiased and most of the posters' responses weren't that bad, either. That is, of course, until yours.
First off, you really need to come back to reality when it comes to disc storage and hardware capabilities for both systems. As for disc capacity, read this: www.gamesfirst/?id=1132 . Also don't forget about H-DVD, which will add 4 more gigs to the DVD9's capacity and can be used in sta...
My only complaint, and this article mentioned it, is that in all the videos I've seen, the environment look really barren. It would be cool to have battle in forest, setting trees on fire and such, but so far I've only seen sparse landscapes with a handful of trees. Still looks good, though.
This article doesn't really say anything. The exact same thing was said by Capcom about Devil May Cry 4 possibly not being a PS3 exclusive. At this point it means nothing. What this article says is basically, 'if we don't make enough money to warrant exclusivity, then for our own sakes we will port it.' The same thing can be applied to Capcom's talk of DMC4. If the PS3s aren't selling well enough to warrant making the game exclusive to the PS3, then the game will also appear on 360 and/or Wii...
