The bottom of the article states that Bioshock is due out for the PC and 360. Is there actually a PS3 version or is that just a rumor?

Sony did this to themselves. They need new management and a new direction for their game console department. Right now, their game console department is too closely connected to their media format department and it's hurting the PS, possibly the company as a whole.

You know what gets me about this? Neversoft has no idea how Sony online is going to work and it's two months from launch. Doesn't that seem a little off? According to Sony, they supposedly have a LIVE killer, but what, they've yet to figure it out? I don't want to start another flame war, but I'm getting the impression more and more that Sony says their online is free because, basically, there isn't one. I know Sony said they are leaving it up to developers (like they did with the PS2), but ...

You can't deny aesthetics, and graphics are a big part of that. I'm glad, however, that this game isn't depending only on graphics.

Yeah, personally, I really like the 360 version of GRAW. I think that's a great deal.

I think this game will be solid.

RE 5 is not a new IP and it's been announced for the 360 and confirmed recently by Capcom to still be coming to the 360. It all depends on how many PS3s Sony can produce. If Sony continues to have problems and PS3s trickle onto the storeshelves, companies like Capcom will port games like DMC4 to the 360 just to make money. If Sony can get its act together and roll out some consoles, the PS3's high price point and stiff competition don't hurt its sales, and Europe forgives Sony for screwing th...

Except that the extra price per PS3 game will easily offset the price of LIVE. Depending on how many games you buy, the extra $10-$20 per game will really add up. The PS3 will be more expensive for gaming no matter how you look at it. However, if Bluray takes off and you really want WiFi, then the PS3 is a good deal. It's only a good deal in that scenario. There are gamers that fit in that scenario, but for all others (ie. the majority), it's a better deal to get the 360. It's also better to ...

"...let's see once the official prices are out."

That's a good point, but aren't you comparing prices now? My point is that you can't compare hardware prices without factoring in the software prices (seeing as you already did that with LIVE). Since Sony said expect PS3 game prices to be higher than the 360's, we've got to assume that that will be the case (it makes sense, too, since bluray discs are more expensive than DVD9 discs).

If you also factor in...

What game uses 2 DVD9s? None of the games out on the 360 already or coming out use more than one DVD9. Many of them look at least as good, if not better, than the PS3 games that use Bluray. Therefore, your point is kind of irrelevant.

Here's a link where Sony says to expect PS3 game prices to be more than $60. This needs to be factored in when comparing console prices.

You can also read this in PSM magazine.

Why does no one include the price of the software when comparing prices?! Sony has already stated that the price of its software will be more expensive than the 360. In fact, I believe it was in the Aug issue of PSM in an interview. So lets break it down and keep in mind that I, and most of the gaming public, do not care about HD movies. Also, I don't use WiFi or even half of the 360's HDD.

360: $400
Extra wirless controller: $50
Play and charge kit: $20

This was actually an intelligent conversation about the Japanese market until Alien came in and said something completely assinine. I guess the 6-7 million people that own a 360 already are part of the 'nobody wants it' crowd. You have every right to promote what you like, but at least say something relevant/factual/non-fanboyish .

Graphics could use some work, but I like the idea of massive online environments.

Yeah, it looks great.

I don't think it's really THAT much of an issue. If the 360 has a large market share of both Europe and the US, then Japanese companies will still make games for the 360. Dead Rising sold extremely well and I'm sure Capcom is very happy. They will continue to support the 360. Other companies will too, as long as it's profitable. I don't think the Japanese nationalistic barrier can be broken anytime soon and I think MS's time and money would be better spent on Europe. Anyway, my personal opini...

Hey dumbsh1t, look just under the title of the article. See.....it says playstation 3 and xbox 360. Therefore, (I'll help you out here because it may take you awhile) it's in both sections.

Why would they release a new version of FN3 on the 360? The game already was released on the 360. No one would buy it. The developers had 6+ plus months to work on the PS3 version, hence the updates. Here's a quote for you:

Blank: The game will be called Round 3. Ideally we would ...

I think the 360 version of COD3 looks slightly better than the PS3 version. It looks crisper and with less jaggies, but they are basically identical. The PS3 version of FN3 looks better than the 360 version, but the PS3 version had 6+ months more development time. In fact, a FN3 developer actually said that the extra time given to the development of the PS3 version allow them to add the extra graphical effects. You can't compare the two.

You can compare COD3, Assassins Creed, UT20...
