Fanboys will hop on any article that proves their point and claim it to be fact. You know, there are also many articles from people that don't think the way this guy does. Why don't you quote those articles as well? There are many who were not that impressed by the PS3's offerings. There are those that were. One opinion doesn't mean crap.
I ignore fanboy rants and even take more rational people's opinions with a grain of salt. I look at videos from all systems and will play gam...
Fond memories. This is the game that started my long, never-diminishing relationship with FPS's.
Last year they didn't have games that Japanese gamers would want to play. That's a huge difference. Will the 360 take off in Japan? Who knows, but it definately won't go anywhere without games Japanese gamers like to play. The interest shown to a few of the 360's games at TGS shows that there could be a higher interest level in the 360 itself if it offered the right games. This new approach by MS is the right one.
According to 2K games (the publisher), Bioshock is only being developed for the PC and 360 at this point. A port to the PS3 may happen, but it hasn't been announced.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a port of Ninja Gaiden Black with minor upgrades. Itakagi has said many times that the 360 would see the new releases and ports to other systems would follow. Waving around a port of a few year old game to fuel your fanboism is pretty bad. That's like the orginal Xbox fans waving around the port of GTA: San Andreas.
First, the PS3 got titles on the list. Second, nearly all reports say that Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey had the longest lines and warmest receptions. Thank god that most gamers aren't fanboys. If a game is great, the game is great, no matter what system it's on. Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon look great for their genre, a genre that Japanese gamers happen to love, and are made by one of Japan's most famed developers. Is it really all that surprising that these games are high on the list?

I like the 360 and all, but RE 5 exclusivity is a little far fetched.
The reason they 'ASS'ume it will be released for PS3 first is because this was a Sony funded title for awhile. Sony just dropped it and Rockstar picked it up. The assumption is that since it was previously Sony, then the PS3 version is most likely the only one that has been worked on so far.
The artical is posted in both the 360 and PS3 section of IGN.
I'm still waiting, however, for them to drop the price of Chapter 2. It this point, I still think it's a rip off.
First off, the is a demo and not the finished version. However, I've played the PC version and the PC version on a high end PC does look better than the 360 demo. Maybe they'll juice it up more for the 360 retail version, but at this point, the high end PC version looks better. I do use an HDTV for my 360. However, like Antan said, the 360 is about 1/5 the price of my PC so it's a better value.
People shouldn't try to compare consoles like the PS3/360 to PCs since consoles are...
That at least there's more of an interest in the 360 than there was before in Japan. Personally, I don't see anything happening until LO and BD hit stores but there will definately be some increase in sales when this happens. The question is just how much. Nearly all the reports from TGS claim Microsoft had the longest lines, but this may not equate completely to sales. For example, Nintendo had the longest lines at E3 06, but I still think most gamers' main console will be either the 360 or ...
Just to clarify. Sony contracted Gamespy for the PS3's basic services. Gamespy and IGN are the same company. Therefore Sony pays IGN. Hence the IGN bias towards Sony.
Good job, you found two forum posts that bash the 360. You proved everthing!! How about posting the articles/posts that bash the PS3.

Everyone knew the PS3 was going to have good graphics. It's a $600 system, it better have good graphics. I've looked at many videos from both systems. I only consider videos that show actual gameplay for comp...
This game is seriously challenging for best game of the year. Also, I personally like Dead Rising. Add these two to the fact that Resident Evil 5 is coming out on the 360 as well and you've got yourself a sweet little bundle of quality gaming from Capcom for the 360. Nice work.
Capcom is already making a killing on Dead Rising. Lost Planet looks to give Gears and Halo a run for their money and you know Resident Evil 5 will sell like crazy. Hopefully this nice chunk of change C...
I used to pay more attention to them, but lately they've grown more meaningless. There's just too much genre bias, platform bias, and reviewers not reviewing a game for what it is. I have to weed through too much politics, close mindedness, and lack of the reviewer actually playing the game to find any worthwhile information. A perfect example is the 1up's review of Saints Row. Now, like has been mentioned, everyone's got their own opinion. You could tell this guy, however, didn't even play t...
I'd like to see some gameplay, however. Maybe I've missed it, but so far, all I've seen is cutscenes. Still, the premise is cool.
First off, he isn't the only developer to say this. Most of them do, except for the Sony affiliates of course. Secondly, Epic is working on games for the single core, dual core, the 360's triple core, and the PS3's Cell. Therefore, Epic, unlike companies just developing for the 360 only or the PS3 only, is in a very good position to compare. Sweeney is very pro-Sony, so I don't think he'd lie to bash them as he has mentioned before that he prefers Sony over Microsoft.
This is a huge steal for MS. Personally, I think Splinter Cell is the best stealth game on the market.
