I know Epic is a great developer, but no one figures out how to tap all of a new console's power in the first year. Take the PS2 for example. I'd say it's pretty much tapped out now, but it took years and years. Even kinda recently, there were games being released for it that pushed it more than before, and that system is about as powerful as my grandmother.

Gears of War looks jaw dropping, leaps and bounds over anything out there now, for any console. That being said, it's very ar...

That's why I usually only play SP on the hardest difficulty. This actually lengthens the game for me by a couple of hours. Secondly, I will only buy a game now (with a few notable exceptions like Dead Rising and Oblivion) if it has at least a solid MP. That's the only real way to get your $60 worth, IMO.

The 360 is not dependent on the success of either HD optical format. This is smart by MS. If bluray fails, Sony and the PS3 fail. It makes no difference which format wins the war for the 360. MS said this a LONG time ago. They will make an add on for which ever format wins. At this point, they back HD-DVD. It just goes to show that the 360 is more focused on gaming than this overhyped movie format war. I'm glad for this as I buy a game console to play games.

There are those that don't game on the PC. For them, this game isn't old.

All it says is 'Required to buy'. All this says is that you must buy this, period. It doesn't say if you want this, or if you want that. If Sony just removes the phrase 'Required to buy' and replaces it with included or purchased separately then it's fine. 'Required to buy' implies exactly what it states, that it's required. It is not required, however, just like a moon roof, 6-disc changer, and alloy wheels are not 'required' on a car. If you want to listen to 6 different CDs in your car, th...

You do realize this is a gaming website right? This isn't an 'Aids Crisis in Africa', poverty, religion, or anything else website. If you don't want to read people argue about video games and rather read people argue about the 'Aids Crisis', then go to that website.

Sony was really trying to say just that this is what is required of the 360 Core system to equal the PS3 cheaper system then they wouldn't have put the words 'Required to buy' underneath the PS3 section. It is blatantly obvious with the wording of 'Required to buy' under all sections that Sony is infering that the accessories are required to buy, period. It's underhanded and pathetic. Also, Sony states that a HDD or Memory card is 'required' for the 360's WiFi to function and that is complete...

Sony has made a big mistake with this one. You can't legally publish false information about a competitor. Sony will get sued and seeing as Microsoft's legal team fought off the U.S. government, I think Sony's in some trouble.

the 360 has the best game line-up I've seen for a console in a very long time (if ever). It's nice to see MS going this way, since in the end it's the games that matter most.

I have read in several places that HTCP has been postponed to around 2011. It's really a non factor at this point.

Microsoft and Rockstar both announce exclusive episodic content for the 360. This article reports a RUMOR supposedly from an employee that the PS3 is getting something that is basically the same. Nothing has been announced at all for the PS3 and this definately doesn't debunk what both Rockstar and Microsoft have announced.

The odds are that once Sony figures out its online plan there will be DLC for any game that wants to offer it. Does that mean it will be different content f...

are not necessarily comprised of the final build. Sometimes they are, sometimes they're not. I would never completely judge a game from its demo.

That being said, the videos I've seen look really good. Maybe not GoW good, but pretty frickin' good. I have never been dissapointed by a Splinter Cell game and the fact that this game has gotten all nines so far on its first three reviews doesn't surprise me.

What also reinforces this is that one of the reviews is from IGN, wh...

I could really feel through the article the excitement this previewer had while playing Gears. I know the exact feeling he talked about and it really makes me want to play this game as soon as humanly possible.

This Christmas, the PS3 will be mostly dwarfed by the Wii and the 360. This is due mostly to PS3 manufacturing problems and that the 360 is farther along in its game release cycle. Next Christmas, however, these two factors won't be an issue. The PS3 will have finally launched in Europe and both competing systems (360 and PS3) will have lots of games on the market.

Microsoft has already scored a huge victory with the 360's early release, however. I'm not saying which system wil...

Well, last Christmas Sony said the PS3 was going to launch in Spring 06. That's only a 3 month wait, yet the 360 still sold like crazy.

You call it a 360 5 month drought, but what you fail to mention is that Microsoft was also selling to Europe during this time. At least you could get a 360 in Europe, you can't with the PS3. Also, the 360 sold 3.5 million by March 06. I'd hardly call that a drought. It is the fastest console in history to reach 5 million, which the PS3 might ha...

During TGS 06, Famitsu did 2 polls where 360 games received 60% of the votes from Japanese gamers. They then assumed 60% percent of Japanese gamers wanted the 360. I believed that about as much as I believe this. Polls are crap. The questions are dubious. The selection of people polled is dubious. Etc. Crap. As for TGS, as soon as it was over, more polls appeared with 60% Wii, 35% PS3, 5% 360 and Wii wasn't even at TGS. Which polls actually mean something? Answer: None.

that not only does Sony say the most ridiculus stuff pretty much weekly, but their fanboys still eat it up. Which is crazier, that Sony says these ridiculus things? Or that its fanboys (like Bilal) eat it up and then regergitate out something similar?
