Their biggest problem now (among many many other problems) is 1) they can t seem to get games released and they have not made alternate arrangements to fill out their library for the Wii-u
2) They do not communicate w current and prospective Wii U o...
Why are the just now looking into/considering these things? They should have been at this point back in 2010/2011+/- Did they forget they were releasing a new console in 2012 or did they remember the console but forget it needed to have games?
Overall your predictions and the logic used to make them were pretty good- your only big "mistake" was believing what Nintendo was insinuating back last January (2013) when they used that big Direct to mention what seems like every game they were working for the next 2, 3 4 years- Many expected those games in 2013 and/or possibly early 2014- but now I question if we have them all by the end of this year- Nintendo seems to be doing the same thing again- insinuating these games...

The longer Iwata is there the longer and more difficult their road ack will be- but they have ton s of cash, no debt and IP worth huge dollars - A reasonably ompetnt CEO with strong board backing could turn Nintendo around even though Iwata s mess will get bigger 1st

A well written Good article - as a Wii u went I have been critical of many things Nintendo has and has not done to make it a better console/ experience, however, I agree w all of your points

I really wish they had disclosed this info to us before they released the Wii u - I bought the Wii u for my son based on the 2 premises that they flat lied about- 3 rd party up port and their launch releases game schedule - the one they obliterated after the X mas shopping season
At least Sony announced the delay of Drive club before they launched the PS4. I have much more respect for them than I do the Nintendo execs ( no I don t own any Sony consoles)
