Good article. It was short, but was packed with some good stuff... that is totally true
they could just be playing it to learn how well it executes on a lot of things... so they can incorporate some of that into their next game.
not really ripping per se, just learning and evolving
The restructure will be nice, as the interface for that is still kinda clunky.
The profile feature will be cool to have, and give people a little more insight as to who they're playing with. Though, I'm sure it will be abused... but that's what the "feedback" is for.
The demo deletion is probably my favorite feature in this update. It's been requested for some time, and now we finally have it, and I couldnt be more happy about it. I hate seeing those sh...
optional. You can turn it off, or limit it if you wish. There are other privacy settings for Xbox Live, if people would take a moment to enable or disable them.
I really dont think sharing your friends list is a bad thing, and I hope a lot of my friends on my list do so. I tend to keep a small list (usually people I know, or play with often).
It would be nice to invite other people into Halo 3 to help me test out a newly forged map or gametype... since I do have ...
with a gamertag like that, I dont blame people. The gamertag explicitly shows he's of the homosexual nature, and why would you want to broadcast that to young immature kids over the net. The nature of Xbox Live is such that it's filled with many young kids, and typically they're immature and overly obnoxious.
I'm not the kind of person to talk trash like that, and what a lot of those people said to him was just wrong, and uncalled for.
Hell, I even get crap for m...
1) The characters looked good to me. You could really see the sadness and anguish on Sheppard's face when he was listening to the distress call.
2) Environment look amazing and very detailed
3) Gameplay is a squad-based RPG with action and shooter elements. Not to mention how deep the storyline is, and all the different choices/paths you can take. How is that not new?
4) See #1. You could really see the sadness and anguish on Sheppard.
5) Want a screenshot to compa...
Microsoft owns the rights to Halo and any other Halo-esque title. Sony will never be able to buy it from MS, no matter what they offer Bungie.
However, Bungie could create a similar title if they wanted to, and Sony could fund it. Sorry, but Halo isnt going anywhere unless Microsoft feels the need to sell the IP.
Again, like I said, if Sony wants to fund Bungie to create a Halo style game they can, and they might very well do so, but "Halo" and the &qu...
He's actually one of the more useful MS employees.
His podcasts are pretty good, and he does inform the community about stuff (that he can). Since he is a MS employee he has a certain code of conduct he must follow, and under no circumstances can he "spill the beans," unless it is agreed upon by his supervisor.
I guess people can't review games the way they want anymore. It's your choice if you trust the review, and buy the game solely due to the review.
Why dont you trust in what you believe, and not some dumb review. So what R&C got a 7.5, that's still great... I think people just need to get over it and make up their own mind.
Ah the physics... sometimes i hate them, other times i love them.
However, all the time, they're freaking amazing! Thank god for replay too!
I'd consider this cheating and exploiting the game in a way that it's not meant to be played.
In Halo 2 you had those players that would super jump to unreachable places once they had the lead... forcing your team a loss if they could not do the jump and/or get the player.
Now we'll have people doing this to "get out of levels." I can see Halo 3 being ruined by this "feature." While I dont mind campers - it's a viable tactic - this jumping ou...
While a childrens game at heart, the core of the game was for older players looking for a relaxing moment raising pinatas, flowers, fruits, and keeping all things happy.
It was a huge underrated game, and I enjoyed playing it when Gears of War was becoming monotonous. It definitely should have had more marketing. That would have made the Xbox look like it DID have children's games, and wasnt just a "FPS" console.
I had no idea they were still making add ons for this game. It's going to be tough. This pack sounds like it would be awesome, but with Halo 3 in my system, and Mass Effect around the corner... should I buy?
I probably will because I have the MS Points, but I dont know if I'll ever get to playing it! Although, Oblivion is still my favorite Xbox 360 game, with Halo 3 coming in 2nd.
If you read the books... no Spartan was ever listed as KIA. They were all listed as MIA as stated by John and Dr. Halsey.
This was to keep up the appearance that Spartan soldiers were invincible, and could never be killed.
The soldier in this awesome vid says that as well.
This grenade stick was pretty amazing. I thought I've had some good ones, but this takes the cake.
To all those that have to comment on the article in a negative fashion... what's the point? If it were any other game, would you comment the same way? Is it just because it's Halo 3 that you have to badmouth the cool event that this player had and wanted to share?
As for it not being news, it has a place on N4G. While it may not belong on the main news site, it stil...
I loved messing around with legos as a kid. I thought I had made some cool stuff... but damn, this is freaking awesome. The fact that he made a Halo level with that scope is magnificent.
Nerd or not, respect goes out to this guy for a job well done. Hobbies can turn into obessions sometimes, lol
I have read the books, the graphic novels, played the games, and have carried my own speculations. Those questions were easy to answer, and anyway, why wouldnt Bungie leave it at least a little open-ended.
That creates room for more development of the "universe," and other stories that revolve around more than just the Master Chief. The Covenant have their story, the Flood have theirs, the Humans, and the Forunner all have stories to tell. Halo 1 through 3 were the Hu...
since probably the early Halo 2 days. It's a great site. There's a lot more functionality there now.... screenshots and queuing downloads aside, you can view every game, right down to the weapons kills and where you killed them.
i dont use the bungie forums, just my own profile and stats, and now screenshots... for myself and to gauge against my buddies
We monitor the forums very carefully here at N4G, some say with fine tooth comb even.
Since there are 9 of us (not including the admins), at least one of us mods is on at any given time. You'll very rarely see some of the ignorant and rabid fanboyism present here on the main comments section.
We shoot down anything that looks like it could be a causing a flamewar, and thus, we have a more tight-nit and peaceful community.

On behalf of the Forum Moderators, I would like to thank you all for your great contributions to the site.
Without you guys, N4G could not exist. Keep in mind that "no submission is crap" (kinda like the "no question is dumb" principle).
Great job guys, and keep it up!!
