Definitely an enthusiast piece of hardware, and even with the pricepoint I bet it will sell well until the inevitable price drop.

Company delivering on a highly requested feature from customers = wrong move. Why not both - they released plenty of great looking new future exclusives, but also are supporting legacy games. Xbox made the right move, its game developers that need to focus on the future and stop making games specifically for the old console.
Don't fault M$ for giving consumers the option
Fantastic news for Xbox - if this is is an xbox one only feature (not saying it is yet), it will definitely sway my decision on which console to get it for.
It actually has pulled me away from the Witcher (for now)... so far really enjoying it on PS4

Cutscenes seem improved to me on PS4 (or I have just been finding the easier to render ones), but I agree - I am still finding some framerate issues during gameplay now. Better overall, but still there
Been playing for a little while now. It may just be the placebo effect, but framerate does appear to have improved overall. Still get some rough spots now and then, but overall it seems better to me. Way to early to have the final say though

Wow, luckily at around 30ish hours in on PS4 I haven't encountered any serious game breaking bugs. Couple of graphical glitches, and have gotten myself stuck a few times - but just reloading the last save or auto-save and it seems at MOST I have lost like 5 to 10 min of gameplay.
Not that box art is important, but I agree - its pretty bland. Uncharted 2 cover (in the article) was much more interesting imo

If people just want to play more for the story, then I see no problem with the easier game modes - just to move through the fighting faster.
Im having trouble finding a good balance myself - the hardest difficulty can be fun but I find that battles can get drawn out a bit much. May change with leveling though
@ above: My only real issue with the combat comes from targeting. I find that it wants to lock me to the "wrong" target (occasionally I have been stuck facing the wrong way, even though my camera was facing the enemy, etc), and sometimes target switching seems off.
Its definitely not a serious problem (still enjoyable), but its another area that I could envision being tweaked in the future.
but we aren't talking about games that are hard to come by. Its games like Uncharted, or God of War, etc. $5 at any local gamestop.
Or even more recent with The Last of Us, etc. All I know is, if today's Bethesda announcement was "Fallout 3: HD Remake" instead of "Fallout 4" id be pissed.
People rip COD and madden for being the same every year, but then accept these HD remasters with open arms. Can't wait to own the same game on PS3, PS4 and PS5 in a few years!
I would rather have companies make new games/new experiences, rather than just upscale graphics on newer hardware and sell it a second time around - but that's just me.

It would be cool if they could make it an option to change between the traditional turn based and more action oriented of the newer games. But holy hell dont remove the turn based style from the game - the gameplay made the game for me
