You do a hardware refresh to either fix a known hardware defect, or to spark sales.

Seeing as the current PS4 has no issues on either of those fronts - why bother with a Slim version now? Wait until Sales drop off

Ah ok - good to know. Thanks!

Im not saying it will be - but with a game that is primarily about exploring, I am hoping there is a reason to explore, rather than just seeing a new location. (thats me personally anyway - im sure tons of people will just like exploring every planet they can)

Ah ok - so probably like a headphone jack or something? Looks like all the pictures the person just has the VR "goggles" on

Please don't be boring. Please don't be boring

The picture for the article made me realize - none of the VR sets have headphones. How is audio handled for these? If you are looking around, the sound channels would have to move with your direction I assume?

Haha, hey if you want to get page clicks for a blog on this site, just post a pro-Playstation / anti-Xbox article. Especially sales figures - those are always the best

True, but I think its fair to call Fallout 3 the reboot, so I was using that as the F03 -> NV -> F04 analogy.

Either way, Just simply pointing out that because a game gets a sequel, doesn't mean the newer version is better. Seems pretty common

Happens all the time... Think of all the games where the 2nd installment was better than the 3rd? Halo, Uncharted, Mass Effect, etc.

(and for the record, I really enjoyed FO4 - but would probably put New Vegas above it)

1) Post "XBOX SUCKS!" article
2) ...
3) PROFIT!

Excellent - this game needs more content. Its awesome that this is free, but honestly at this point I would probably throw a few bucks down to get more maps faster.

Im one of those people that will only deal with TIMELY DLC. If new maps are coming out months to a year after I put the game down - I rarely go back to it.

Lol at the list of major cities - and then Ann Arbor.

I do think New York would be a cool setting, but agree that it has been overdone a bit.

What about a frozen wasteland somewhere?

I realize that, and im sure the final build will be fine. Can't believe people are that excited over that screenshot

Lol @ the downvotes. People on this site are so delusional. Simply pointing out the graphics aren't that impressive - WRONG

I am excited for Shenmue, but people are kidding themselves if they think THAT is am impressive screenshot.

Graphics don't make the game, but seriously that pales in comparison to some recent titles.

Fortunately it will probably look better in motion

Somebody missed the point of a challenging game

3802d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Thats actually a pretty impressive lineup. Some of those horror titles look like they would be quite terrifying on VR

Voice is great for small parties. But for simply having a chat in a large zone or something... that would get old very fast

If its long because it is introducing something new? Cool
If its long because it is just having you repeat the same gameplay over and over? Not Cool

My issue, is text on a TV is not the same as on a monitor. Small text for chat, etc just works better on a monitor up close, rather than a TV.

I have tried a few MMOs on my PS4, and compared to them to the PC counterpart and each time the overall experience was more satisfying on PC imo, and I think it had a lot to do with the chat/communication experience being superior.

VR will probably have its place in the future, I just don't think hardware is there yet. Not even talking about the motion tracking, but simply rendering a game.

The gaming industry is driven by graphical fidelity, not controllers - and even the most expensive PC's struggle running some of the latest games on a 1080p flatscreen, let alone trying to render something for VR.
