They messed up the lighting affects in the left one
Looks great - first thing I noticed was color. Its nice to see a game that isn't using some heavy filter to make everything to dark or look brown/green for "realism" etc.
I like the Wii U and hope they aren't giving up on it. If anything I just hope they make it more usable to operate without the gamepad. (some other controller)
The damn gamepad is what kills it for me. Its just too clunky and uncomfortable to use in my opinion. Bought Mario 64 last night, but after about an hour I had to put it down because it just wasn't the same without the classic controller.
Ill probably get another controller to use, but the game...
Jesus - a 9800gt is the minimum graphics card. Isn't that thing like 9 years old?
I'm no pro (and certainly will never be dominating in PVP haha) but from my standpoint I feel like the Bloodborne learning curve wasn't as unforgiving as Demon Souls/Dark Souls.
Maybe because I had played the previous 3 souls games, but survivability in this game feels better - being able to attack to regain lost health, good escapability early on, etc.

I personally don't think they CONS they listed are a solid representation of the game. Gameplay scored a 59 and stating its just a hack and slash - I definitely disagree with that.
From the summary in the article, its pretty clear that this type of game is just not for the author... but they are entitled to his/her opinion without it being "clickbait".
Finally got my copy of Bloodborne but havent had a chance to start it yet. I will say I loved the rpg/loot aspect of weapons in the previous games. (Trying to find better weapons within each type, etc)
Sounds like Bloodborne has opted to significantly drop the number of weapons, and instead make each more unique I guess?
Cant wait to start it - but for now that has really been my only "concern".

Looking at what my friends were playing over the weekend, there was definitely more Battlefield than Bloodborne but I doubt any of them would argue that either game is "superior".
Is there a decent improvement with the remaster?
Watching IGN's comparison video and it looks like really only some new lighting/shadow improvements were all that noticeable
Mainstream - does that mean we will get annual reboots (like Madden and COD? Nothing wrong with that version of mainstream but Id prefer these games kept their brutally hard characteristics and stay with a "smaller" fan base)
To each their own - Im stupidly excited to get my copy, even though I thought Dark Souls 2 was only... meh (didn't even bother beating it).
Hoping this game is back up to the same level as Demon and Dark Souls for me
Pretty awesome find - I'm all for these games being as brutally hard as possible (something about the sense of accomplishment from finally beating the boss that killed you about 20 times)
but accessibility for more players is not a bad thing
I still have yet to play either, although it's also probably fair to assume that these games are held to slightly different standards.
Suspend/Resume on my Xbox still confuses the hell out of me sometimes. (Hit the power button expecting a 30 second start up but then it instantly jumps into netflix, etc).
Will definitely be a nice addition to the PS4, even for people like me that don't realize they will be using it
@tuglu_pati - what? where did I say anything about lower res? The res looks the same. Jesus fanboys on this site have the hardest time with reading comprehension. I just said that it looks like the PS4 is running smoother in the clip (?)
Interesting. I admit I only watched the video and didn't read the article at first hence my comment on FPS.
Its definitely possible that the PS4 has larger (more noticeable) drops in framerate than the xbox one, especially if it has some extra shadow/post processing effects running.
That said, neither of the systems looked to be maintaining 60fps in their short clip
PS4 is certainly running at a slightly higher FPS, and it also has much softer shadows. (Noticing a lot more jaggies in shadows on the Xbox)
That said, lighting effects on the character I actually prefer on the xbone.
Pretty solid example of differences that would only notice running both versions side by side.
Hope this is true. Would love to stop seeing "resolution-gate" articles everyday, and see more impressive games come out of it.
I really like the free camera aspect - cool to be able to pan around the room like that.
