I have to say, the demo left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I just didn't like the design of the map in the demo. However, after watching this video, especially since this is xbox footage, my hopes have went up for this game.

It seems some of the areas look pretty nice. I only wish they didn't change the dialogue system and how the HUD looks. The portraits, health, stamina etc. look pretty basic and cheap to me. However, this is merely nitpicking, I feel more comfo...

"It's fair to say that there is both good and bad. On the jungle campaign stage, the results are absolutely phenomenal: uncannily good in fact, with virtually no edge-aliasing issues. The MLAA post-processing works beautifully in adding to the organic feel of the level."

I've played the PC demo and even though the demo isn't the final representation of the game, I wasn't impressed.

I loved DA:O enough to do 3 playthroughs, Warrior, Rogue and Mage.

For DA2, there are good and bad things about it.

What I liked:

- I actually like the new combat system they've implemented, it's very fast paced so that you are more immersed into the game. Tactics are still present even though h...

What I don't get is that you think he's a dickhead when he really isn't.

Remember the article that made it look like he was bashing Japanese games? The author was called out as Cliff had to clarify what he was talking about. He loves Japanese games.

There was another article where the author did some selective quoting to make Cliff look bad. What happened? We get the full interview and it turns out that's not what C...

@JBaby343

So it's probably 3 years, since Warhead was released in 2008 and now Crysis 2 is in 2011. That's besides the point.

The difference between Cryengine 3 and Killzone's engine is that CE3 is an engine that was just built from the ground up and made to scale between 3 platforms. The reason GG were able to implement these methods in Killzone 3 is because the engine was already there. They had 2 years to refine the engine, they had enough time...

"paintsville, you are a moron.

Nobody is saying they deliberately downgrade the PS3 version.

Just they don't use its strength. They could upgrade the texture resolution to full implement a virtual memory model (streaming) on the PS3.

They could implement MLAA on the PS3.

They could implement a much better geometry engine on the PS3.

But this would require two distinct versions, ...

Was just referring to the fanboys who went ahead and said that MS was banning millions of hackers in order to get more console sales. They would do that because hackers would buy a 2nd console.

You know, those conspiracy theories.

They praise Sony for banning hackers, but they criticize MS for banning hackers.

Maybe we should get an article that says "Sony banning for more console sales?".

When you said that Thrillhouse it quickly reminded me of Super Troopers. I don't know if you saw that movie though.

^ Have you played mechwarrior 2 or 3?

It's your opinion that you like faster mech games, which I can respect.

However, Mechwarrior is not a "whoever gets the powerful weapons wins" game. You can either go for mechs that are light but highly maneuverable or a slow moving beast. The Dire Wolf may be bloody powerful but if you play it right, you can use your lighter mech to take out its leg while avoiding its aim. Just watch it doesn't have sup...

I don't support piracy and I love PC gaming. However, if there's one thing that annoys me the most about PC gaming, is that once you buy a game and activate the CD key, you're stuck with it. If the game isn't good, you just wasted $40 of your earned dollars on something you've only played for 10 minutes. So I can understand why people like Panda want to pirate to try it out some games.

Console gamers on the other hand, can return the game if they don't...

It would seem you're a victim of media influence, or more likely, fanboy journalism influence.

Cliff is not a nut at all, he actually loves Killzone and Japanese games.

It's the journalists that try to make him look nuts.

He's a cool guy, that's why people listen to him.

Fanboys simply never learn.

I remember a while back that journalists who met Cliff would carefully select words and turn those words into a bad thing. Then fanboys would cry that Cliffy is and ass etc...

Then what happens? The truth comes out, Cliff says something entirely different and the idiots who bash him make themselves look like fools.

It would seem this article is taking the same roots as the others. Twisting the words to make it look...

@ hassi94

That can be a good perspective right there as well. Bubble up.

Edit: Oh and btw, to anyone arguing about how we use the word requirements, go take a look at the back of some of your game cases if you have any. Some of theme such as Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander and World in Conflict clearly mention "Recommended System Requirements".

Seems like I can't edit oh well.

jammydude, you are not getting what I'm trying to say. Even if they raised the minimum requirements, it does not mean your pc needs to be a monster to run the game properly.

What I'm trying to say is that, they probably mean you need lower requirements to run the game at max settings. THEY DID NOT SAY LOWER *MINIMUM* REQUIREMENTS.

For example, some people say with a GTX 580 Crysis Warhead at 2560x1...

You must be new to computer gaming.

Requirement = You need something for something specific.

For example.

Recommended System Requirements = Specs required to run the game at medium - high settings.

Minimum System Requirements = Specs required to run the game at all.

So like I said, did they mean real performance, or theoretical specs?

By the way, all the article shows...

5503d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

@ jammydude

They didn't say lower minimum requirements.

lrn2interpret.

Besides, the specs that you need to run the game are laughable. Millions upon millions of gamers have upgraded beyond these specs. Going from a 2007 game to 2011, that's pretty damn good.

lol @ geodood

By the way you post, you just sound like a whiner. You sure are quick to shoot down Crytek because the minimum requirements went up a couple of notches. They haven't even revealed the recommended specs and you already come in here like a raging animal. Calm down and just bloody wait.

They said the game will have lower requirements, but what requirements? Is it the recommended? We don't know. We all know that the minimum didn't turn o...
