Beautiful game and it's shaping up to be quite an experience. Best part is, everyone will enjoy this game as it's going to be multiplat, even the Wii U. They just don't have DX11 though hehe. Even in DX9 it looks fantastic.
I honestly was thinking it would be a black man playing Kratos, but that might have been because the voice actor in the games is black.
Same here, I'm not normally big on racing games, but I've actually had the chance to try this out. For a game in the pre-alpha stage, it's shaping up to be quite an experience. The community is great and so are the developers.
If you really want to try this game out during its development process, you can pay as little as 10 euros (or near $15) and you'll be able to play monthly builds. Not only that, but you'll get a discount on the game's final relea...
Unless you already know, you should check out World of Mass Development, a project run by Slightly Mad Studios (Devs of NFS: Shift 1 and 2). It is very similar concept to Kickstarter, except with them you pay for what's called a "Tool Kit" (like pledge) to get privileges.
If you pay, they'll actually let you get involved in testing the game while in development stage and give you a chance to offer feedback.
There's a lot of info about th...
I think it's rather unique. Yes I believe the definition of wiedzmin is warlock unless someone in polish can correct me.
I heard the reason they named him Witcher in english is because the name was more fitting to the character and setting, which I 100% agree. IMO, I think it would sound a little silly calling the book/game The Warlock (in english translation).
One improvement I've noticed was the colour. Although The Witcher 2 was great to play and hhas gorgeous graphics, my one gripe was the glowing colours it had. I believe the term is colour- correction and I thought it was pretty average.
Anyway, now I can see in the enhanced edition the colours look much more natural, can't wait to download the new patch.
My female cousin went to go see Thor and admits that she just wanted to see Chris Hemsworth in top shape. A female friend of mine (although not that much into fantasy) saw all 3 LOTR films and admits Aragorn was hypnotizing.
I was hypnotized by Jessica Alba in Sin City.
This journalist needs to get a grip, all movie directors and game developers aim to please one or the other gender (or both).
What about space flight games like Freelancer, X-Wing and Independence War? I used to love those games. There was supposed to be a Freelancer 2 but that got canceled. It's a shame they don't make those games anymore.
I hope Mechwarrior online goes back to its original roots (Not Mech 4 style, more like Mech 2 and 3).
Sgt. Zach Hammond from Dead Space, he was an awesome character. The voice actor for him was of course the talented Peter Mensah. :)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the reason behind the 3GB in the AMD card is because of Eyefinity where you can go up to 5760x1080 and I'm sure beyond that as well.
If a game uses 2GB from the GTX 680, then it will use 2GB from the 7970.
Edit: Looking at the benchmarks, the GTX 680 doesn't necessarily blow away the 7970, however AMD is going to have to drop the price if that's the target cost for the GTX 680.
You mean the money that was being donated to sick children? I thought maybe it was a tad extreme, but I don't think it's sad that it went to a good cause.
Who the hell cares at this point? Both consoles are successful now, this shouldn't even be an issue anymore.
Edit: I meant a cheap PhysX dedicated card but at least decent enough to handle the new games (# of CUDA cores).
I stand corrected about hair movement, it makes sense. Though I was sure Global Illumination isn't hardware specific as the AMD card can probably handle that as well.
My point is that this technological leap Orpheus claims isn't really that big of a deal, if you really want Physx, get a cheap dedicated Nvidia card (with PhysX of course) if you already have a High end AMD card, it will probably give the same results.
Besides, not many games utilize GPU...
"Global Illumination and Hair movement."
I don't see how these are actual features of a card, they probably designed the architecture in a way where it can properly handle these kinds of effects. AMD rarely shows any demonstrations of their new card, so we don't know whether or not it will handle those effects just as well.
From personal experience of both ATI and NVidia, I've had problems from both companies so no one is perfect here. H...
"Exactly. I remember that awe I felt when Gears game out. This was next gen, I said. This raises the bar. I expected to see the bar raised from that point on. But it didn't happen. At least not on that console. On another console, I saw the graphical bar raised again and again."
Wow, who cares, even if the PS3 apparently raised the bar, that didn't stop the Xbox from getting better looking games. There's a huge difference between Gears 1 and 3. Forza 4...
But they also said that the card used under 200W of power, the TDP of a GTX 580 is 244W, I'm pretty sure it's a single GPU.
I've played both the Xbox version and PC version of ME1, the reason I'm playing on PC is because I don't have a console anymore, I had to play ME1 on my brother's Xbox.
Anyway, I don't know which version you played, but the PC version Bioware released was vastly superior to the Xbox version IMO. The combat flowed better, the elevators were much faster, UI was much more accessible and the inventory menu was much easier to use. It was kind of like the differ...
@ FrightfulActions
What's funny is that you completely missed the point of my post, congratulations. Where did I say that they shouldn't charge for DLC, you probably need reading lessons.
The point I'm trying to make is that Bioware pretty much created an incomplete experience at a premium price. You finish ME2 by detroying the Collector base and you have a word with the Illusive Man. All of a Sudden in ME3, you're back on Earth and grounded f...
@ drosera
First, how about considering the fact that a lot of people might have windows 7 laying around somewhere or someone has a version with multiple installs. (Hence, optional)
Second, I bet there are high chances of people already having a mouse and keyboard and just waiting to switch them over to the new build. I've had my keyboard since 2004 and still works great.
Edit: Oops sorry wrong reply.
