Umm, PC already surpassed consoles in 2007, vanilla Crysis.
@ Bull5hifT
Witcher actually has the same meaning as Warlock. They decided to call him the Witcher instead of the Warlock because it's more suitable to the character.
like KZ2 and KZ3? Yeah, you guys are obviously new to gaming. Please don't try to give credit to Killzone, Battlefield 2 has already done this and maybe some games before it. It's nothing new, they're just basically switching the squad mechanics back battlefield 2 style.
I think the point of my post completely went over your head. For the japan tech quote, he probably said something about japan tech, but not the way the article describes which is why he called it out.
Same thing for the MGS4 quote, I don't see any full interview with that comment. He could of meant something else and those so called professional journalists use selective quoting to make what he said worse than it is.
I just proved to you how journalism do...
@ Raf1k1
Can you please read my post. I said AT MOST a 5 second animation, it can be 2 seconds for a tank, 4 seconds for a jet (cuz you're in main base) etc...
In my second post, I did mention 2 seconds for a tank though, not everyone are fast shots. Besides, if an opponent gets in a tank before me, I want to at least have a bit of time to hide somewhere or try to shoot him before he pops me.
"There are plenty more where that came from. "
Like what? The famous quote where he said "naughty dog you're going down", oh right it was just a joke. Idiot journalism.
Oh yes and also "Bulletstorm was meant to f*** with killzone 3", oh right that was a joke too. Cliffy loves KZ3, then there was a controversy about him buying KZ3. Again Idiot Journalism.
What about the "Japan can't keep up with US vi...
Darn can't edit, anyway, here's a clip of Killzone 2, an FPS game. Skip to 1:33, I don't think an animation that fast would hinder MP gameplay.
It doesn't even have to be like that, 3 seconds, to climb up a ladder, hop in, close the windshield, you're off
Lol at the snipers comment. Yeah and how many times did you want to get into a tank, then an opponent spawns closer to it, hops in and pops you in an instant? That also can be frustrating my friend.
Lol at the people who disagree because they think an animation will make things worse. Again, look at halo, each time you enter a vehicle there's an animation, it doesn't even take 3 seconds to get in. Are you riddled with bullets or sniped constantly? No. So how do you kn...
I know this isn't related to DICE, but the exact same thing happens to Cliff B. The journalists twists the guys words so much that some people think he's a douche, when he really isn't. There were a few times where he had to call out those stupid journalists.
How do you know if it's better for gameplay? Don't knock it until you try it.
IMO, they should at LEAST make the enter/exit animations. They don't have make you wait to start up a tank or jet, look at halo. There can be at most a 5 second animation to hop into a vehicle, after that, you start rolling the instant you get in.
These are the types of things that just makes the game more immersive.
@ vsr
I thought GT5 ran at 1280x1080 during races? That's not real 1080p, that would be 1920x1080.
Edit: Ah yes that's what I thought, quote from Digital Foundry.
"The game still renders at native 720p with 4x multi-sampling anti-aliasing (MSAA) when your XMB is set to 720p mode, while the resolution shifts to 1280x1080 with 2x quincunx (QAA) when the 1080p mode is engaged. So we're not seeing anything like native 1080p resol...
For the record, God of War 3 is not, I repeat, NOT constantly 60fps. It's very noticeable when there's a lot going on. It's 60 fps when there's no action. However there are exceptions, some battles in small areas are 60 fps, but places with no action but a lot of detail can have frame rate drops as well
I agree, they should at least one of these 2 models unless there's some copyright issue with bungie.
You know, if Bioware had just put the male and female action and not the lesbian action in Mass Effect, then we wouldn't have to deal with these BS articles.
If you can really do this, then that's dumb on Valve's part because then PC users who pre-ordered or are going to buy the game are getting ripped off, let alone the Xbox users.
Can you make multiple Steam accounts on PS3, or are you only allowed one? If the former is the case, then it makes matters worse because you can simply buy the game, use your friend's PS3 (if you don't have one), then link your PSN and PC accounts to together to receive the PC version,...
Don't worry, I'm sure they've considered that, they're not that stupid.
I don't know what they're going to do, but what I'm thinking is that since you need your PSN and PC Steam accounts linked together, they'll probably remove your PC version if you trade back your PS3 version. Then they'll probably lock the PC code from your account so that you can't use it.
Ashley looks a little hotter now lol. Hmm, do I have to choose between Miranda and Ashley/Liara now? Dammit, it never ends. :)

Hammond's death, holy **** that was brutal.
@ Danteh
Funny you say that, I built my computer for $1100 last winter, since then I've purchased around 30 games, all of which, except a few are on average $10 each (Steam Rocks).
The only ones I've paid much more are for Starcraft 2 ($60), Crysis 2 ($50, got a discount), Dead Space 2 ($40, EA price drop for PC), Portal 2 ($45) and Witcher 2 ($45).
That comes up to about $450 in games.
The average price I spend on co...
