Gives more or less complete control to the console manufacturer, while virtually eliminating the need for newer consoles... sounds like a winner.
Just have to wait until the network infrastructure catches on, as not everyone currently has the necessary requirements for such heavy internet usage.
... and then there's the bandwidth caps.
... just like you don't 'own' a movie on netflix?
It's all about disposable games now. Play 'em while they're hot then move on to whatevers next.
The physical warfare pack doesn't have any physical warfare either. =(
... is the SpectAct kit like BC2 where you actually get 4 new loadout slots?
... also, does Origin have some special bonus? I have a 25%-off coupon for Origin that I want to use. =/
EDIT: Just checked Origin, they updated it. You get a PhysicalWarfarePack from there.
Makes sense.
Real-life has some pretty awful and imbalanced gameplay, yet everyone plays it for the visuals.
Only WoW players have their priorities straight, and decide to give up their lives to live in a much fairer world.
"could careless"
> Isn't it: couldn't care less?
"i still think games look above average"
> Above average compared to...?
"the only thing i dis like about pc gamers they act like they are the only ones supporting gaming when its the other way around"
> So pc gamers are the only ones that don't support gaming? O.o
They're complaining that ...
Has there been any announcement on dedicated servers yet?
I *believe* BC2 had dedicated servers on consoles, and I would expect them to have dedis with BF3 as well. It could justify the online pass a bit then since they're at least providing a service.
^ ... but BlackOps and MoH were also nominated for the award?
What is this I don't even.
As for the comparison itself. It's kind of hard to compare visuals without getting art design in the mix.
I think the best-looking games this gen are LPB and TF2... they might not push the pixels, but seeing them in motion just makes me... happy.
Don't forget Batman.
Though I do want to slap the person who came up with 'THI4F' as the title.
I don't want to break my never-by-a-game-with-a-number- in-its-name rule with a game with such a horrendous title. =(
"the project is being managed through Square Enix London Studios, which also worked with Rocksteady Studios on Batman: Arkham Asylum and Avalanche Studios on Just Cause 2."
YESSSSSSSS!
Minecraft was never the first.
Depends on the quality of the PSU, but even then, it would be cutting it pretty close.
So you're gonna need a better PSU (preferrable 600+ Watts)
However, a 6850 should run the game decently, might not max it, but there's a lot of graphical settings which are better left disabled anyways.
I'd recommend waiting till the open beta to see how your system handles it, as an upgrade might not really be necessary.
... how can he? He's a mute.
"GT5 is the closest to real life racing."
No it isn't.
There's more driving simulators than just Forza and GranTurismo.
Fun is subjective though.
Then again, ARMA's fanbase are pretty hardcore. The amount of pre-mission planning and co-ordination is just insane... not exactly to my tastes, but it still has a niche.
"Pushing for 60fps in a shooter is a waste of processing power."
O.o?
What games do you play?
30fps is horribly low, especially for multiplayer First-Person Shooters.
High frame-rate is essential for precise aiming, especially in engines where game-engine calculations depend on the frame-rate (such as CoD).
It doesn't take a lot to be a great success... all you need is marketing, and BF3 has that base covered.
I believe NewVegas came with some promo book... or something.
^ Starcraft2?
A game being on consoles doesn't always mean much.
TF2 is on consoles, yet compared to the PC version, it plays very different.
The Battlefield series also play differently on PC due to increased player counts.
Games that support mods also can change a lot, such as the Wanderer's mod for Fallout3.
So there's a fair bit of experiences that can only be had through PC, even if the base game itself is found on oth...
He's comparing the console version of the two games.
In that regard, he might not be wrong.
