... but I like going commando. =(
“a clear reduction in piracy of our titles which required a persistent online connection, and from that point of view the requirement is a success.”
Where are they getting these stats from?
Considering that a game requiring this kind of DRM is still easily pirated, why would piracy rate be down? O.o
... or are they counting the number of pirated copies downloaded.
... didn't they also remove the always-online DRM on a few of their...
G36C is OP.
... if you use that as the standard, then pretty much everything is going to be underwhelming. =/
@Persistant
... but CPU isn't used much for rendering on PCs, that's the GPUs job. (For gaming that is)
When building a gaming PC, more focus goes towards the GPU rather than the CPU.
Out of curiosity, what was special about the E3 boat level btw? I'll have to look at it again.
It must be fun being a PC fanboy.
Whenever you say something bad about one console's games, people assume you must be a fan of the other console and bash it instead.
So is the Penumbra series.
Shadow-Of-Chernobyl probably should've replaced Shadows-Of-The-Damned.
Gore was quite popular in the past (gibs! gibs everywhere!) but you're right, only a few FPS games nowadays have gore.
Tf2 is the only game I can think of that pulls gore correctly (it just fits into the theme) but aside from that, I enjoy the sight of a ragdoll careening across the sky more than seeing enemies explode in gorey fireworks.
Me too.
Definitely don't want Al Gore in mah games.
"The article clearly says its open for ALL origin accounts, which is bullshit"
I have two Origin accounts, both have a BC2 copy.
One of my accounts is a lvl 5 vet, the other is a lvl 0 vet.
My lvl-0 vet account just got an alpha invite.
So it might not be bullshit. Afterall, if veteran status was a requirement, my lvl-0 shouldn't have gotten an invite.
(I got the invite around an hour ago, so looks like...
... isn't he a character in the game?
To him, it's a first-person shooter. :D
I got DeusEx HumanRevolution for $28 on GMG (activates on steam)
GMG has some good deals (along with all of the digital distributors), particularly since you can 'trade-in' some games.
Since I already have a collection of games on Steam, I usually try to buy games from steam, and I tend to only buy games from other retailers if the game can be activated on steam.
(Most EA games can also be activated on Origin)
GoG is in a leag...
That video pretty much sums the awesomeness that is TF2.
Most devs must have a very deep hatred for the PC then.
Not a problem at all as that means people would still be buying the game.
BC2 experiences a nice influx of new players every time there's a sale, and many of those new player stick around, which leads into a healthy community.
$40? Where are you checking that price from?
It's $20 on Origin.
... O.o?
I didn't know you could change your steam ID.
However, Profile Name can be changed.
I thought they already had scoping.
I don't think any Valve game has ever had iron sights. Hip-firing keeps things fast-paced, but I suppose having options is always nice.
As for the levels, L4D1 had better levels, mostly because they were darker. L4D2 felt too bright... with the flashlight being only necessary in a few spots.
Not much to compare between the two games.
They both have zombies, but the similarities kind of end there.
In my eyes, Battlefield is to CoD what KF is to CoD:Zombies.
