I wonder what creations will come forth when the source code is released.
...What does that have to do with this article? O.o
They're talking about soldiers/profiles, not loadouts.
You forgot Full Backward Compatability.
Good thing the article mentions it at least.
Battlelog indicated multiple profiles. (That, and there's a difference between the OriginID and Origin Persona similar to how SteamID is different from Steam UserName)
I sure hope they allow multiple soldiers. It allows for much more creativity with names, and replaying as a lvl 1 can be fun too.
... am I the only one who finds replay value in games?
There could be a drought of games for the next two years and I'd be perfectly happy given my backlog of games along with my desire to replay some games multiple times.
Also, the late year is picked because it's the busiest season shopping-wise (BlackFriday through Christmas in the U.S.)
... in the old days?
You mean the game that is played by tens of thousands even today. Not much need for memories.
I'd still rather take the higher frame-rate and resolution over trying to get this monster to run.
... but I do envy the people that have the rig to run this. =/
How so?
They're just there for people that have the disposable income.
I've never went out of my way to buy the expensive editions, but I don't find anything annoying about them either.
Heh, reminds me of this.
http://www.gta4.net/map/
Entire GTA4 map, WITH street view. :D
@AzaziL
... but GTA4 never had any official mod support either.
Same goes for MW2.
As long as people want it, someone will hack and mod it.
Having friends who have poor tastes in games isn't enough to justify a game being 'under-rated'
=p
... I bought my cat from someone else and it didn't come with a windshield glass.
WTH man, I feel ripped off. =/
I thought it was more along the lines of...:
- Sales data released
- All fanboys bicker and article reaches front page
- Mod comes and eats everyone's bubbles
^ ...maybe because your friends play those games on one particular console?
The 360 has a strong footing in the US, and people like to play with their friends. Often times, it goes down to what system your friends are on.
Saying it has no games is just silly. (and twisting the definition isn't any better) Especially when there's been enough high-quality multiplats to sink most people's wallets.
Yea... robbing a bank in GTA4, and having your in-game cellphone tell you that you're late for a job interview.
Still, the 'would you kindly' bit from Bioshock retains the throne in my memory.
As someone in the article's comments pointed out, Hawken is a game to keep an eye out for.
I called it!
Considering how aggressive EA has been with Origin, it would be a no-brainer to make the service obligatory for all PC players.
That's kinda how Steam got strong too. Though they better improve the rest of the Origin service if they want people to actually stay.
Negatory.
Not coming on steam.
The article says so itself (last paragraph)
Would ResidentEvil4's knife fight count?
This only really affects you if you're playing on the PC... even then, the article is just making an assumption.
There hasn't been any official statement on whether PC players can have multiple profiles on the same account.
