Did you two even read the article before spazzing out on your rants? O.o

They're actually saying that Sony has responded well after the crisis and are handling the situation correctly.

It was for 50% off on D2D a few days ago... so I'd expect steam to have something similar.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say the days of sale will be Crysis, Sims, NFS (+Burnout?), Battlefield (+MoH?), MassEffect, and then Command&Conquer or DeadSpace ... probably C&C.

^ Except all the games Ranshak listed are better on PS3.

Doesn't DragonAge do something like that?

Never played it cause it's not my thing, but I heard stuff about that.

Don't know what's scarier; Your beliefs or the fact that there's people that agree with you.

Hackers are a few miles away from rivaling BinLaden. =/

... but there's more to it than just visuals.

A game like GTA4 can be more hardware demanding than uncharted because it has to create a sandbox with multiple NPCs, dynamic weather, etc.

So it isn't just about the hardware limiting them from making their games look good visually.
Most of the times when devs are talking about limitations, they mean the hardware related to gameplay and level design (such as the limited amount of RAM)

No mention of stalker?
Fine.

Though most of those games are pretty tame. Throwing in a graphical-enhancement mod usually ramps things up.

He already got flagged for trolling, so just move on.

It's not like you'll be able to change his mind anyways.

Not really, but it is recommended.

There's a lot of references to the first game in Portal2. Makes things a lot enjoyable (especially the final boss fight)

Homefront has decent multiplayer, however, it's the single-player which is the real sinker (and what the article targets)

Whereas Valve can turn a simple concept of portal-based puzzles and make an amazing story around it... Kaos did the opposite. They had an amazing concept that they hardly took any real advantage of.

Clearly, Homefront wins? O.o

... or well, looses, depending on how you look at things.

^ What I meant by that is that FPS isn't exactly one little genre any more. You can't list games like Prey alongside Fear and Bulletstorm and use it as a reason to say that FPS games are over-saturating the market when their gameplay is quite different.

The saturation is stemming from military-based shooters rather than FPS games in general. That was my main argument (and wasn't exactly aimed against you, but rather a continuation of your own point, since your lis...

Brink or TF2.

I don't really agree with terming each game that has a first-person view as an FPS game.

In the past, the FPS genre was about being a meat-head with a gun and blasting through baddies. Nowadays, it is more about immersing the player by using a more personal view-point.

Portal and MirrorsEdge are classified as FPS games, yet they aren't exactly the same as Bioshock, which is much more different from a multiplayer-centic game like quake.

The difficulty is to the point where newcomers to puzzle games can make it through. Experienced players will find it easy though.

I've seen some youtube videos and some people really struggle with it. =/

Valve will probably add in some challenging levels with the upcoming DLC.

Well, that's who consoles are for; People who don't want to fiddle with tech.

It might seem like a negative, but it's the technological freedom (which comes with it's inherent complexity) that attracts some people to PC gaming.

I like the fact that if something goes wrong with my PC, I can usually fix it on my own. Whereas if my console breaks down... then, well, I'm not that lucky.

It translates onto the software side as ...

Kinda like saying:
'X, Y, and Z are the only games I want from that list.'
