Congrats to Yakuza 3, but when are we going to stop going to VGchartz for sales numbers? Seems like every month they make "predictions" and every month VG is wrong. Each time I see any story or a person using them as a reference I just chuckle and figure that I'll have to "take this one" with a grain of salt. VGchartz sucks.
They are addicting for some, but not me. When I asked a buddy what he gets/wins from them and he told me nothing, I had to laugh and ask him why they were so important than. I like the e-penis analogy. If I was getting something in return for them it would be a different story. Maybe cheaper/free downloads or some crappy swag from a developer, but if I get nothing but a score, no thanks, don't need 'em.
Last months EGM article was pretty funny when it talked about how far...
No. That was another reason BD had such backing from Apple, IBM, etc. Seemed as though they weren't keen on MS monopolizing the technology. I'm no expert, but I remember an article that discussed some of the history of Apple vs. MS, HD-DVD vs. BD and the technology developed by MS and Sony.
Not to put words in decapitator's mouth, but what I think he might be saying is that when something is free and it's in the same "ballpark" (for you unexploded ordinance 22) than free is like the spade that trumps. If PSN was total sh!te and Live was the best online service ever created I might be inclined to disagree with decapitator.
Since PSN is decent, since Live charges me for things I don't need and since the few big items Live has vs. PSN are being rectified...
So I guess this story was true afterall? Seems like all those people implying that it was fabricated to make MS look bad owe somebody an apology, huh? MS didn't need anyone else to make them look bad, they do just fine on their own.
And this is news because?
I'll assume that none of us will be holding our breath waiting for the other shoe to drop.
This has already been confirmed as an art project for this dude's school. These are NOT official concepts for Bioshock 2, but they do look cool...

Makes a lot of sense for Crytek to try and get Crysis on consoles. I was wondering how well it sold on PC, but can't imagine it has made as much money as it would've on PS3/360. I actually would be surprised at this point if Crysis, Crysis 2 or some other version didn't make it onto one or both of this current generation of hardware.
There will be DLC, but what I wonder is if the online starter game is on the same disc? If so, that could obviously be a contributing factor in the game taking up a lot more space than normal. I know they had conversations about it possibly being a separate game (sold separately) so that's why I'm wondering if it comes on another disk or not.
@Toughname: You read the title and it clearly says MGS4, Kojima and BD. Did you think that was an invitation for someone who obviously supports the 360 to come crawling in? Don't cry for the mods if you don't like what you are reading in a story that has nothing for you or other 360 fans.
Man, fingernail polish remover is acetone. Pretty easy to find at most stores in NA.
I hear you mmmj. My wife said that fingernail polish remover works like magic in getting permanent marker off most surfaces. She's a teacher, trust me she knows what she's talking about. Those students can be quite destructive.
I think the versatility, like the PS3, is one reason that software numbers might appear low. There are some who might have bought it for it's other uses along with the games. In Japan they've got add-ons like the tv tuner and GPS (coming soon NA!) so it's used for much more than just a handheld.
Jeanne you are so right. It still blows me away when I think of how much my PSP can do. I recall Sony hinting at making most if not all PSN titles remote play. I can't wait for that to happen. The only reason why I don't use the remote play more is because I've already got a bunch of ass kicking games. I'll be picking up Patapon soon (like REAL soon) and GOW is on the way next week. I'm always saying it, but isn't it good to be owning something from Sony right now?
Passes Gasses...
I swear, man, that light haired dude with the sunglasses is Roy Schieder. Isn't he dead? Man, Jaws was a badass movie. 2 was good also, but beyond that was complete sh!te.
BTW, this game sounds so good. It just keeps getting better and better as a PS3 owner, huh?
I agree with you somewhat. I do notice how I'm drawn to reading what users say more often that actually reading the source material. Sometimes I LOL and other times I curse myself for wasting time reading some nonsense a user wrote. I've sworn off the site a few times, but I have to admit for it's source material N4G is about the best thing going. I don't know of any other websites that have users submitting so many stories.
I am kind of glad, but also a little dissappoin...
Probably one of the few things you and I would agree upon on this website.
I just kept thinking to myself that the tribute was a cool thing to create.
2gb?!? There isn't any cap on what developers can do. All Sony has ever said is if it takes a game longer to download than takin' your happy a$$ to the store to buy it, it's too big.
What's to disagree with? Excerpt from Sony's presentation from GDC:
Some other points made in the presentation: unlike XBLA, there is no size limit to the games developed for PSN. However, if a gamer "can go to the store faster" than it would take to download the title, ...
I haven't been on CoD4 for a few weeks now and wasn't sure if this patch has hit for the PS3. Is this patch ruining the experience for all consoles? Or just the 360? I also assume that you're forced to patch the game to get online? Don't know any game that gives you the option like firmware updates.
