Not to get all uppity on you, but Omega Man wasn't the original, "The Last Man on Earth" was the original from 1964. I've never seen any of them so I can't comment on which one is the best though :P
Even if all the HD-DVD owners in the world suddenly bought more movies on release day it still wouldn't make a big enough difference for the studios. Whoever wrote this has obviously adopted HD-DVD already and wouldn't want to lose out on their investment. My advice: Drop HD-DVD as fast as possible, cause the value of whatever you've got is dropping like a rock.

I agree with you, I wouldn't be so quick to throw my PS3 away after it crapping once, but more than once is too much. When you then add in the additional problems it seems some people are experiencing then it becomes too much for me (or any normal consumer, IMO) to accept. I've really considered getting a 360 on a few occasions, but it seems like once a week something comes out that is totally ridiculous and shouldn't be accepted by anybody.

Can't argue with dragon, but with Warhawk, CoD4, Motorstorm & RFoM I've only experienced a few bits of lag in CoD4. Mostly because of the hosts/server issues. I think these games are a fair representation of 1st and 3rd party so I wouldn't blame other laggy games on the PS3, probably more to do with how the developers handled them.

Everybody keeps saying that CES isn't the place for game announcements. Sorry, man, I don't remember anybody complaining about not getting "game" news. People are looking for h/w or infastructure news and MS came with nothing. Everybody says games aren't for CES, but there are a ton of games be previewed at the conference.

I do understand why you ask, but you should've known this would happen since MS basically said nothing and only talked about how great things are going. WB going exclusive and the hit that HD-DVD (and to some degree 360) is/will take needed a boost by anything Gates could've given to xbox nation.

I read recently that the only reason why the 1M to 1 ratio is used is because instruments do not exist to measure higher than that. Sony has stated that they believe the OLEDs are closer to 1.2M to 1. Sign me up for the 60 inch when it releases at an affordable price.

If you're on the fence about SSHD then get off and buy it. It's a blast. I've got all three and I vote SSHD, ES then flOw, in that order. I still play SSHD all the time, good jump in and play for 15 min or an hour.
Obviously Sony saw the error in their way kevoncocks. It's MS that now plays those silly little add-on games. PS3 comes ready to roll with h/d, wireless LAN, power supply and BD in the console. Not some RRoD w/jet engine noise level fans. What did MS give you besides some nifty cables and a headset that cost them little to manufacture? You're probably just PO'd cause your HD-DVD add-on is now virtually worthless.
