Pachter isn't much of an expert, more of a theorist and he's often wrong so I don't know if comparing yourself to him is such a smart idea. :P
I'm not here to debate that what the US government does is right or wrong (or any other government for that matter); this is obviously just a gaming forum. I was just pointing out that comparing a money hungry company to a government who (at least on most levels) attempts to protect their interests and citizens isn't really justified. Believe me, I don't like my privacy invaded regardless of who is doing it.
I wouldn't quite equate the US government's involvement in spying to possibly save lives (among other things) to MS trying to make more money off you. The government isn't trying to make a buck off you or provide that information to third parties for a price. MS should get smacked just like any other company that breaks the law.
Although I could give two sh!ts about Halo, that is a cool looking action figure (and I don't even collect 'em).

Can't confirm the videos off the hard drive, but that was the intent many moons ago when Sony announced Home. I can confirm that photos did work from the HD, but can't say for sure as of this posting since we've had to re-install Home. I'd tell you more, but than I'd have to kill you, right? :P
And I thought it was Sony who've always had a hard time keeping their promises...

I was walking through their last week and the Sony and Blockbuster kiosks caught my eye. There were a couple guys oggling the Sony kiosk so I just kept on trucking. I hate air travel...
Um...hate to burst your bubble with the costume thing and all, but it's actually been moved up to 21 October release.

I watched all three events (thank you IGN for a real nice setup) and I have to say the one with the most "meat" was Sony. MS (minus the FFXIII announcement) and Nintendo had decent conferences (at best), but they didn't impress with the variety and games that Sony did.
I really don't know that there was a slam dunk winner, but I do believe that there was a clear cut loser and that it was us gamers. Where was the innovation from any company? Where were the new games...
Jaffe and Eat Sleep Game or whatever they call themselves are working on it.

Good point, Butterfinger, but I think the major reason for flamewars and fanboys is the damned internet. Used to be you could really only talk sh!t to your friends at school or wherever. Now anybody and everybody has a blog or posts on websites and follows the herd mentality that they've got to defend whatever console is sitting under their TV.
Funniest part of all? Most of the louder fanboys are either so young their parents bought the system or are 40 year old pale, dough ...

No need to get excited about it, but this has been enabled for months. I didn't even know about, but a friend of mine was telling me how he'd call home while remote playing through his PSP and hang up on his wife as soon as she was getting ready to answer the phone. Yeah, he can be a real d!ck sometimes!

This is totally unacceptable and is really turning into a witch hunt of epic proportions. So basically what they are saying is that if your sharing a flat with someone else who decides to d/l something and gets "caught" three times that they will ban everyone using that IP? F that. This is exactly why I never d/l crap anymore. One day a subpoena is going to end up in your mail telling you you're being sued by somebody for some ridiculous thing like file sharing.
Meh. Gamesradar doesn't really do much of anything for me. Top "insert number here" lists are so overrated and lame and that's the only thing I normally see from those blokes.
