Do retailers sell more in a brick and mortar store or online? I think the answer is obvious. There is always limited supply of online quantities. Online retail supplements brick and mortar and selling out online is not as significant as selling out at your local Gamestop.

Your wrong in terms of sales. The Xbox 360 version of Bioshock sold +1.5 million alone. The PC version sold less than half. The game has sold all combined 2.5 million. Barely sold a million...pretty far off.

Sony fanboys to the rescue!!! I hope the article ruined your week because obviously your too concerned with a little o' article to actually enjoy games. I should probrably call out all fanboys, however Sony fanboys are the worse by far. Look at the comments for evidence.

News flash: all console manufacturers are in the business of making money. Infernus/reccodog- if you read the article and comprehended it- you wouldn't be so bold in your accusations. To summarize, M-soft created the design for their own graphics chip rather than outsourcing to someone who knew what they were doing. Keep in mind this is not uncommon. In order to cut costs they designed their own chips...and screwed up. They are paying for it, you aren't. They also didn't wait for blu-ray/hd-s...

If you want a game now...or later, which would you decide? Depending on how much the game in question means to you the decision isn't too hard. Ultimately, I feel this japan rpg initiative is set for success. Keep in mind that "success" at this point is selling more than 10,000 consoles a month. If the 360 can sell over half as many consoles as PS3 I would think this is reasonably successful. The pursuit of Japan was never a short term endeavor. Build the Xbox brand and people will ...

Not all retail outlets are tracked by the NPD as well as online sales. Console titles routinely outsell PC so this isn't a surprise at all. Not a good comparison. We will see what happens when MGS4 comes out. Haze might not sell a single copy more after the bomb drops.

Hopefully, the 1 billion in costs associated with the rrod problem will still allow the 360 to cut its price in the fall. Otherwise, I don't see the upside of this design flaw and resolution.

Otherwise that's a very harsh assessment. I don't believe DVD players are able to play Xbox 360 games. Try again with a little less gusto.

"Earlier today, a review for Ninja Gaiden II was posted to the front page by one of our staff writers. However, upon editorial review, it was determined that the article did not meet our stringent standards for content posted to Talking About Games.

As a result, we have retracted the review in question."

I made a couple of comments on the review page and grilled the reviewer concerning his "knowledge" of the game. Apparently the site agrees the r...

The point of a sequel is to significantly improve the experience of the prequel. A "modern warfare" game every year is not going to be up to the standards you expect. If the true sequel to COD4 comes out in 2/3 years you can expect a more polished and better experience. Quality>Quantity. As far as 360 being the lead platform, that doesn't automatically translate to bad port. All I'm saying is don't write the game off already...its not out yet. It uses the COD4 engine for crying o...

Obviously many people care, as do I. My grandfather was stationed in the Pacific theater as well. It is extremely naive to think people aren't interested in this game. Sure...its not modern warfare, but why would you want a sequel to COD4 within a year? It would be best for the series if a sequel was released every 2. Quality isn't compromised that way. The Pacific theater in many ways was a completely different war that hasn't been realized successfully. There was jungle warfare and much mor...

Soul Caliber set the bar for all the others to follow. Hopefully, the devs remember what made the first great. May I ask why your getting the PS3 version? I for one might get it for PS3 as well. The Xbox's D-pad doesn't cut it so the PS3 seems like the right choice. Hopefully, one version or another isn't "inferior." By inferior I am referring to frame rate problems. Fighting games are killed by poor frame rate. Soul Caliber had a perfect frame rate. No reason why next gen consoles ...

Code Veronica using the Resident Evil 4 engine would be sweet. On account Resident Evil 5 isn't coming to Wii, it wouldn't hurt. RE4 Wii edition was by far the best version; loved the Wii controls. A shame that one of the best games on the Wii will probrably be a one hit wonder. Nintendo has a tendency to smother third party developers/publishers so their own titles come out on top. I hope this changes. Plus, Nintendo needs to come up with some new mascots already.

Fan's of this game need to call out poor reviews such as this one. It seems every time a less than steller review comes out... some "people" on this site decide to bash Xbox, NGII and praise Devil May Cry 4 and NG Sigma in the process. Wtf. In terms of the game, it is a must buy for NG fans and others who want a challenge. I would also give it a 10 in gameplay and 9 overall. There is limitless replay value, as the harder difficulties, mastering of new weapons, achievements, leaderbo...

One review, one opinion. Also, the reviewer is dim-witted and hasn't even played through the whole game. He claims the game only has 9 levels. Hmmm...I remember playing this game to the end of its 14 Chapters... If he is such a fan of the prequel Ninja Gaiden he shouldn't have an exceptionally hard time with this game. For all the knocks this game has against its story, presentation, and other miscellaneous... gameplay not surprisingly is the reason 99% of Ninja Gaiden fans play this game. 9 ...

I agree with your opinion concerning Nintendo and being arrogant. It is debatable how soon or if the PS3 will surpass the 360 however. The way I see the console wars (and always have) is that price is the most important factor to consider. Look at the PS2 for evidence that price and game selection sell consoles. If you were a first time gamer who wanted a gaming console I would personally recommend the PS2. Why? It is cheap, and has hundreds of games of every genre. To stay competitive the 36...

First the PSP is failing...then its doing great...then bad...then good...then bad...you get the picture. The way I look at it is that the PSP is doing just fine. It is selling hardware and more recently more software. "Soft" software sales are a sign of poor health; considering the PSP is selling more software with the likes of GOWCOO I think its doing just fine. Last spring a whole flood of "core" games were release. Patapon, GOW, FF, etc.. were the games that convinced m...
