Sony and Microsoft have nothing to worry about. Apple TV is expensive considering that its a fancy itunes/media hub. I wonder who else is able to stream media? Xbox 360 and PS3 have always been able to stream media and are arguably much more efficient. If Apple put a GPU (or even a fast enough CPU) in the Apple TV it would be prohibitively expensive. Also, Apple better work on support and get a little more flexible with technology sharing. Apple likes having complete control over distribution...
The screen shots look more or less promising. In some, the lighting and attention to detail is quite nice. Other screenies...not so much. It would be interesting to know when this game comes out. I for one am a fan of FPS with RPG elements. The game is titled White Gold...hmmm, the game might be about shooting poachers or something (white gold is ivory). Who knows...maybe the game is about saving elephants and rhinos:-P That would be cool.
Ninja Gaiden II in fact. The reason being that both are hardcore games made for their intended audience. MGS4 has a much broader appeal than NGII but this one paragraph sort of explains why there is such a discrepancy in reviews across all genres, and games.

I politely disagree. Each game will offer a different flavor of rpg. Fallout 3 is to put it bluntly...huge like Oblivion and set in a post-apocalyptic world. Fable 2 is likewise about exploration but more restricted, and medieval for that matter. I have high hopes for each.

The remote would be a day one purchase. Still would like to hear some more info on it...E3 maybe? Also, it would be prudent to release this accessory soon and included with all new PS3. That way, the inclusion of the controller is seen as part of gameplay rather than a simple gimmick. M-soft and Sony should just come out and say that they're making Wii-mote clones. They should also triple check the patents:-p
Personifying a video game console is kind of odd. It is not a living creature and therefore doesn't get angry, eat, sleep...or fall into a coma. Granted I see the point you are trying to make...but a video game console isn't living and breathing like your pet dog or cat. The console wars are silly at the least and shouldn't make you feel good, bad or anything in between. Focus on playing games and not letting them play you.
I would rather the "next" generation come later rather than sooner. I don't relish the expense that is purchasing a new console. Perhaps I was a little too quick in predicting the next generation. However, the point I was trying to make is that PS3 has always been a Trojan horse for blu-ray. When PS4 comes out I hope PS3 will have a legacy more defining than "blu-ray player." It won't be for a while till PS3 catches up. Playstation products tend to have a longer shelf life so EVENTUALLY PS3 will surpass 360. By that time though...ps3 will be a glorified blu-ray player and I will play PS4 and Xbox Next in Ultra-HD.

I am not saying I agree with the reviews...but come on. Everyone is against PS3 this and that...is all I hear on this site. Who cares about one or two reviews that are less than favorable? I don't. Oh noez...MGSIV metacritic is f-ed up now...The only people who should care are Kojima and company. The game will be great, but frankly, the reviewers have played more than anyone else on this site.
