The user purchases the "right" to use a license rather than the "right" to use said game as he/she sees fit. Kind of bothersome. I remember before the advent of "online connectivity" when you could do anything you wanted in a game. Remember Game Genie?

and yes i like debate. however, some people take it too far and care too much. what happened to being just a gamer?

What does "It's Quality of Quantity" mean? Also, "Microsoft has no answer to counter GTA4." I thought the game came out for both systems...I think you were trying to communicate that M-soft has nothing better on the plate after GTA4; am I wrong?

"We have Resistance 2 to counter Gears 2" Dude, the console wars are not an actual war. Enjoy the games. They both should be good.

Also, Ninja Gaiden 2 was never supposed to be a system seller. ...

I hope the huge announcement at E3 is Resident Evil 5 for the Wii. I'm looking forward to the game on PS3/Xbox360 but the controls in Resident Evil 4 were amazing. With that said, I don't see why they can't use the Resident Evil 4 engine. I also don't mind owning a couple versions of the same game if I have to wait for the better version to come out(ex- Resident Evil 4 for PS2 and Wii, also Ninja Gaiden Black, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma).

I found Shivering Isles, the expansion to be quite the parody itself. Everything was exaggerated and made fun of "normal" aka Oblivion.

unless...they port it to Xbox 360 or PS3

you talk about monopolies...I wonder who controlled the last gen video game monopoly? It wasn't Nintendo or M-soft. Last time I checked I noticed there were three healthy, competing current gen consoles. Monopoly what?

It was a matter of time before Nintendo cut the cord on homebrew. I can't say I'm extremely saddened by this, but I know other people are or will be:-( The Wii, just like any other console is a closed system so I guess we come to expect things like this. I was going to say something anti-Nintendo but M-soft and Sony would have done the same thing...but sooner. I'm sure someone will find another way.

Why are you here? Personally, there is nothing wrong with rating one game higher than another based on the other games merits. They are entirely different games and appeal to different people. Expecting everyone to LOVE MGS4 is pure fanboyism. There are reviews for a reason; and that reason is to give an opinion. If you don't agree...move along. Ninja Gaiden 2 is one of my all time favorite games now. MGS4 ranks right up there with it. Am I going to be lambasted and lynched now? I love both g...

Ultimately the console with the larger install base will be the console devs work with first. Audience is also important, however game devs/publishers make games not for fanboys but to make money. Also, the focus on PS3 development first might not be as wide spread a movement as claimed. All games are created on the PC first and then ported to consoles. It so happens the Xbox has a more similar archetecture to PC. Primary reason we are seeing PC games like Age of Conan: Hyborian Wars. Games t...

Again...if you can afford a game or two at $60 a pop, why can't you afford $4 a month for a great online service? If you don't like Xbox Live, don't pay for it. Pay when you want. There are plenty of trial Xbox Live cards to go around. Also, your dead wrong about M-soft dropping the $50 subscription to Xbox Live. Do you remember the Xbox? The same service was available for the same price. When Xbox dropped down to its lowest price cut ($150?) Xbox Live was still the same price. The logic does...

Every time I mention something positive about 360 it gets shot down by a PS3 fanboy. Every time I say something in the least bit objectionable/constructive about the PS3 I get lynched (because I'm not Sony fanboy "enough"). The reason why I bring it up at all is because every pro-360 thread turns into a 360 hating forum. I'm tired of people posting mindless, biased fanboy comments. I have tried time and time again to add insightful, intellectual discussion to n4g.com. It never seems...

When PSN charges and Xbox Live stays the same I'd like to see some lemonade tears.

Edit: To speculate whether or not PSN will eventually charge or not is not being biased or anti-Sony. With that said, there is an extreme difference between Sony/PS3 fans and Sony/PS3 fanboys. Hopefully most people aren't the "fanboy" type and I don't get trolled (and disagreed into oblivion).

Edit: agentace: do you play on Xbox Live often? Your profile says you only have an ...

Many people who "game" on the Wii have never done so before. A good portion of these new players are sedentary individuals with less than steller reflexes. Technically, it is the users fault and Nintendo isn't liable. If there is a class action lawsuit its not going anywhere. Interesting and funny article (hopefully no one got hurt:-P)

It wouldn't look horrid...it would look worse. I'm jk, although you never know. This game needs a little work in the graphics department. Although, who is to say whether the game will be fun or not. Gauntlet Legends comes to mind. Ugly as sin but loads of fun if played with some friends.

You seem to make quite a few assumptions about a game you or I know nothing about. How do you know it looks good or bad? What if it looks better than Grand Turismo? Are you going to CRY? I would think so judging by your extraordinarily intelligent comment. Also, you are a bonifide Sony fanboy. Your ignorant, bullish comments aren't welcome here. Last time I checked, Xbox 360 wasn't obsolete. Still plays all the same multi-platform games the same or better (give or take a couple). I bought a P...

Do any of the comments directed at me have anything to do with what I said? Did you read it? If you did, you have a 5th grade reading comprehension skill (read: noob). If you didn't,I think the right word for you is ignorant prick. I talked about the number of DVD's it would take to fit MGS4. I didn't say anything about the possibility of the game coming to Xbox. There will always be hopeful rumors. I also didn't say anything about product placement (apple, psp, ps3) in my comment. I communic...

However, people are wrong about the number of DVD's it would take to hold the game. A recent article posted on N4G sometime ago discovered that MGS4 took up 33 GB. Technically, with DVD 9, you could fit the game on 4 discs; maybe even 2 or 3 with the "best" compression (with a slight loss in video quality). If the CGI videos were re-sized, 2 or 3 DVD's is a conservative measure. Alas, this won't happen. If you don't have a PS3 your out of luck...until the next MGS4 to 360 rumor:-P

Like you said, "professional game reviewers" are impartial...So does that mean they are qualified to review the game if they claim to be huge fans of the Metal Gear Solid? Impartial is just that...non-biased. If the reviewer had never played a Metal Gear Solid game, that would be the true definition of impartial. Most reviewers are aware of the kind of game play found in a Metal Gear Solid game. Some people love it...some don't. Being the professionals they are, they are aware of wh...
