That's unfortunate. Although I did find the 3ds demo alright. I will probably get the game for vita or 3ds rather than console.

Ic you conveniently forgot that PS2 was the weakest last Gen system. Get over the "my system of choice is better" argument. Graphics aren't everything, hence why the Wii came out on top this Gen and PS2 was top last Gen.

I will be purchasing Mario and ZombieU. The later game has great lighting and looks sufficiently next Gen (to me) for a launch title. I don't have any doubt that Wii U games will look much better in a year or two.

It doesn't matter that PS4 and Xbox Next will possibly have better graphics. That's not the reason i play games. Plus I'll be playing current Gen titles on 360 and ps3 for years. Got a pretty big backlog to get through :-/

Well said. Im 27 but have been pretty adaptible to changes in technology. I welcomed touch screen phones- my first was the Verizon BlackBerry Storm. The touch tech was half backed but I loved it until the OG Droid came out. The phone had a slide out keyboard yet I hardly used it!

I for one haven't ever cared for cartridges. In fact I prefer digital distribution to physical media.

As to Windows 8, its been a joy to use. I suppose I wanted to offer a count...

I think the only good news we can glean from this article is that Nintendo will finally have user IDs and NOT friend codes. :-)

Can anyone confirm/deny if downloadable content will be tied to an account? I refuse to purchase any downloadable games or dlc on Wii U unless its transferable and doesn't vanish if my console burns out or is stolen.

Your example made me want this game. I also have a toddler and thought about introducing video games to him. Glad I read your comment, thanks :-)

Games for windows live is dying a slow painful death. Windows 8 will incorporate an app store which will integrate Xbox the brand. There will never be ads within windows 8. You can customize your home screen live tiles all you want. Try Windows 8 RC- there are no ads.

You seem to be leading the hate chorus. Have you even used Windows 8 Release Candidate? Im guessing no. If you have, i guess its not for you. If anyone is skeptical...try it out on a small partition before you rush to judgment. Your computer will run faster, boot quicker and become more efficient if you know how to use it. Everyone hates change however sometimes change needs an open mind :-D

@ decrept- Clearly you have no clue regarding windows 8. People are confusing Windows 8 and Windows Rt. Windows RT is a closed platform....just like the app store. Can you purchase software outside of Apples app store? No. Same deal.Windows 8 on the other hand lets you purchase software through the Windows 8 store and outside the store, just like a Mac and the Mac app store.in other words your free to install and purchase games from Steam all you want. Nothing will change.

Your free to run Steam or Origin on Windows 8. The Windows 8 Store is exactly like the Mac Store. Is Steam a problem on Mac? No.

This deal clearly isn't for you or me, however some people prefer the subsidized model. Imagine if you had to shell out $700 every time you wanted a new phone and the subsidized model didn't exist. There is a market out there for this kind of deal.

Compare this to Rent-a-Center and the total cost isn't so exaggerated. Rip off that it is, the MS deal is much much better.

I'm still waiting for Move support to be added to the PS3 version. :-/

Great game if anyone has yet to try it.

I agree. We can only speculate- there are an infinite number of possibilities. Someone may accurately get it right however no one can tell the future. Lets hope this article is spot on.

Thanks for the describing that for me. It would seem as though games as a medium are maturing. Not being spoon fed obvious dialogue options should be refreshing. I'm looking forward to playing it once I have time- already have it purchased :-)

I'm all for more mature (including sexual) themes however there should always be a choice and plenty of options. I don't appreciate games which "force" you to make morally compromising decisions. I never play as evil characters- it breaks the immersion (for me) and I enjoy the game far less. The Mass Effect and Knights of the old republic series are great for this reason- even if the choices are slightly superficial and dumbed down at times.

I never get why some people get so bent out of shape when there's a little down time. There's always single player games. Remember those?

@Laxman

Did you even read the review? It clearly states that the game is easy and repetitive. When has Ninja Gaiden ever been described that way? The series has always been about gameplay and challenge. As a Ninja Gaiden "fan" you should be curious to know if the gameplay is intact or changes in a meaningful way. If you read the review (once again) you would know that gameplay has been dumbed down to an extent that its barely Ninja Gaiden as fan's would rememb...

I'm convinced that Microsoft will also release a disc based console. They would miss out on a huge potential audience if they didn't give people choice.

I honestly feel that if Microsoft and Sony don't adapt to a digital world, services like OnLive and Gaikai (and *gasp* Apple) will take over. That would be a very sad.

I think a lot of people might have overlooked a possible motivation for a disc-less Xbox Next/720...

Cable box integration. I think it would be near sighted if this were the only option, however, imagine if there were two versions: disc based(full priced)console and a heavily subsidized and disc free cable box offered through your cable company. Before you write it off, hear out my argument :-)

Taking over the living room has been a key motivator for Micr...

For some reason the Gameboy micro comes to mind. It was only $100 if I remember correctly and perfectly portable. The buttons and directional pad were very functional, unlike the 3DS one (which is a darn shame). If it had networking capabilities and had the same ergonomics, I might be tempted by it.

Edit: I see I'm not the only one reminded by the gameboy micro.
