Weapon degradation in Oblivion was tedious and a complete waste of time. No one plays a fantasy game for realism's sake. Developers just take elements from reality that they think/feel would be fun in a video game. Guess what? Dragons aren't real! Whoa!
Getting back on point- there's nothing real about carrying around 40 repair hammers at all times (like I did) just to make sure your ebony sword doesn't break. Nor is it real in carrying around +100 lbs of mi...
I would suppose different people have different ideas of what makes game addiction.
Some people fail to see gaming as an acceptable form of entertainment...even if only for an hour or two a day. Unfortunately I live with someone that thinks this way :-/
Skyrim is coming...oh noez
I wonder if the PSN version will include a code your able to validate on Steam. That would be awesome. I bought Portal 2 on PS3 for the same reason.
When Crysis 3 is released on next gen consoles, PC gamers will still find reason to complain. Be happy with Crysis 2 and your DirectX 11...

"Don’t rush out to your nearest store to place an order though, as this new console is almost exactly the same as your previous console, only no longer backwards compatible."
The reason they removed Gamecube backwards compatibilty was to enable them to duck tape two (or t...
The article made me involuntarily think of Deus Ex :-)
A constructive comment should read something like this: "Gears of War 1 and 2 campaigns were a little shorter than I would have liked, this is great news for fans."
If you want to say something a little more insightful: "The extra dev time, given the delay, seems to have been put to good use."
Not sure if I would count Unreal Tournament SP- any form of cohesive story is no where to be found. "Levels" are just a series of AI vs Human deadmatches. That doesn't distract from the fun however :-)
What a blatant cash grab...
I can understand charging $5-10 for mission based DLC, however, charging for additional weapons and armor is insulting. Dragon Age II was a rushed game and it shows. I enjoyed the game quite a bit however that doesn't excuse the fact that they cut corners in order to release the game on schedule. Remember horse armor in Oblivion? EA is trying to make this sort of DLC the status quo. I recommend not supporting it, or buying the game of the yea...
Dual analog sticks and front/back touch screens alone would sell me on a $250 system. The graphics, trophy/PSN integration, possible multi-game voice chat and extensive software support make the Vita must own. I'm usually not so excited for any handheld system however it seems to check all the right boxes...
Anyone know which console version is supposed to look better?
I upgraded my 40 GB Fat model for the new slim and took advantage of the same deal. My old PS3 wasn't broken however the disc drive in every consumer electronics device breaks eventually and warranties expire. The current deal isn't for everyone however if you want a new unit and don't want to deal with the hassle of selling your old ps3 on ebay, craigslist or a friend its a nice alternative.
I still haven't gotten my platinum for Demon's Souls. I hope I'm still able to mop up the rest of the trophies with the servers having been shut down.
Definitely looking forward to Dark Souls. Should be another classic. The screen shots look great.
I was curious about this game so I did a quick search on it. More or less, it seems to be an indie rpg with a very morbid theme to it...pretty grisly. Steams page:

Silent Hill 2 defined the horror genre for me. There are so many WTF moments. The game played on your sense of fear of the unknown with the thick fog and a persistent threat of danger. The town was just as much of a character as some of the people you meet.
I'm looking forward to this collection as well as RE: Code Veronica. I'm happy the PS3 is getting all of these HD remakes. Nostalgia is great, but playing an HD rezed game of a classic is better. :-)
That makes me somewhat happy being an early adopter and all. I don't understand how/why the 3DS wasn't cheaper from the get-go, however they obviously don't want to anger Nintendo diehards that already have one.
I think the biggest reason they dropped the price was mediocre sales and the impending launch of the PS Vita. If you compare specs and features to value, they're in two different leagues.
Her voice work in KotOR as Bastilla was excellent. She was personable and expressive enough that I began to "care" about her character towards the end. My next Mass Effect playthrough I'll have to play as fem shep.
EA routinely had sales and bundles directly through their website(especially their older games). I know because I was on their email mailing list (before Origin). EA's games typically aren't discounted as heavily on Steam as most other games so the difference in discounts or wait to get them(Origin vs Steam) is negligible. Steam has amazing sales because they can price their content as low as they want and as a result manufacture demand, even from much older titles. If you inevitably ...
The problem however is that some DLC, especially for multiplayer, is worthwhile. The fact that most recent games in memory have DLC is discouraging because eventually Steam's copy will become "worthless." If you purchase Dragon Age and sink 40-50 hours into the main campaign, you sure as heck want the DLC if its worth it. The only sure way to make sure you don't get screwed by Origin is to buy retail and then buy the DLC through Origin (or game on consoles).
^^^^^^The perfect response to any naysayer on the role of dedicated handheld and their viability in the future. The Vita will be perfect for its intended use.
