The issue apparently isn't new, I wonder if there is a trick to fix it aside from A/V cable change. If the problem is hardware I don't see any way to fix it outside of $100. I have a new Jasper 360 so I hope that I am spared any future problems. I only had to replace a 360 once, however once is more than enough.
Who knows if GTAIV will be good. It has been delayed repeatedly so hopefully its worth its while. DLC and downloadable games rarely sell as well as retail, so I guess we will see. Killzone 2 should sell pretty very well on hype alone. Looking forward to both actually.
My sentiments exactly as I finished the game. Killzone really pushed the PS2; as I played it I felt like its ambitions were next-gen. Clearly Killzone 2 will accomplish what Guerrilla wanted to with the first title. An update version available on the PSN would be great.
@ Grassroots, thanks for the complement. I will keep writing reviews if people find them useful. :-)
Not so eloquently put. If you can get away with a wired connection, do it, however WiFi is just fine. I used to have the WiFi adapter for the 360 and didn't experience any lag. Likewise on the PS3, no lag with WiFi.
Does anyone know if the PS3 or Xbox 360 wireless adapter supports 801.11N speed transfer? If not, wired should have a slight edge. Personally, I haven't noticed a difference either way when I switch.
Hopefully Sony buyout Ericsson and we finally are able to purchase a PSP phone. Ideally, the screen would be the same resolution but smaller and not include a UMD drive. Just like the apps store on the iPhone, the PSP already has the PSN store and therefore access to games. Perhaps a greater selection of titles on the network would become available. I love speculation.
Nintendo only needed the hardcore for a year to build its initial install base. Regardless of what 3rd party games come out, traditionally, people buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games. If anyone needs the hardcore I would say 3rd party developers do. Hardcore gamers buy many more games than casual and have a more varied selection of games which interest them. Most of the developers working on PS3 and 360 cater to the hardcore; considering that Nintendo has 50% of the console market share,...
Why do people do this stuff? It makes no sense. Superiority complex? Check. Hate for the world? Check. I don't think humanity is the worst thing that has happened to the world, though I agree that are many cruel and evil people. Just think if there weren't any good people...
As long as stockholders are happy and the rich get richer our government will continue to stick it to hard working Americans.
With that said, if I had it my way, there wouldn't be any billionaires. I have never been envious of rich people however their exorbitant amounts of money make me sick when I think of all the people it could feed and lives it could better.
Greed truly is the worst sin.
While I would never abuse my mother like this kid, my mom would never throw a taco in my face either, lol. Even still...calling the police is kinda harsh. Control your kids or don't have em'.
I don't think free broadband in the US will ever be a reality. We are too capitalist for our own good. I wish we had universal health care too:-(
The screens look quite nice. I am really hoping people buy this game; otherwise other publishers aren't going to bother with the Wii.
@ above- Why can't a Wii game look good? If the conception of a Wii game is that it looks bad, no wonder we have so many bad looking Wii games and cash ins. It must have become acceptable to release games that could have been last gen. Clearly Nintendo is able to make some good looking games. 3rd party devs should be able to as well. It boggles th...
Wii Play shouldn't count. Its shorter in length than most demos and bundled with a controller....come on...
No offense taken :-p After all the article is discussing GPU and its a fact that current gen consoles (360 & PS3) have outdated GPU's. The PS3's cell CPU on the other hand I would imagine is much more up to the task; especially a cluster of them working in tandem.
The whole article makes me a tad bid insecure about using my netbook in a coffee shop...
Not to be confused with this couple:

The "boob job" pirate. lol
You think with all the spin people put on sales numbers, PR firms would be hiring directly from n4g...:-p
December numbers were excellent for everyone. We ALL should be able to agree with that.
The PS3 is NOT doomed and the gaming market is healthy with 3 competitive consoles..
As hardcore gamers we should be focused not on PS3 or 360 outselling each other but PS3 and 360 combined, outselling Nintendo.
PS3 + PSP + PS2 + Xbox 360= 3536200 <...
Four options depending on amount of money (or lack of). Here they are:
1. Rack up credit card debt
2. eBay
3. Steal from retail
4. Steal digitally (arrrrh)
I subscribe to number 1 and 2. Fortunately 1 isn't a problem anymore :-p
I thought that the wireless power tech was the most fascinating tech at CES. Watch a video of it and you'll understand. I can see next gen consoles going no-wires in favor of this if adoption is sooner than later. Perhaps it might be a big feature next-gen fanboy's use to argue superiority. Even better, it appears the tech has greater uses than simply entertainment.
I love the XMB...why would they do that? Home has its uses but cannot replace the XMB. For example, not everyone has an internet connection nor will understand how to use Home. The XMB is intuitive and practical. Silly article.
If they release the remakes at $30 a piece I wouldn't mind repurchasing them... Metroid Prime 3 is still the premier FPS on the Wii so two more additions of greatness are welcome.
There is a big difference between hyping Haze, and Lair versus MGS4 and Killzone 2. There was a public beta for the later of excellent quality. I was able to get into the MGO beta but not Killzone 2. Regardless, it is a good sign when most, if not every hands on article is favorable. I agree that the hype is a little excessive. If you want to temper the hype just a little bit, play the original Killzone. It will either damper the hype a little or make you even more excited :-p I figured that ...
