I think Miyamoto was taken out of context. I don't think he is adverse to digital distribution at all. Perhaps he doesn't foresee the dominance of digital versus retail distribution as soon as many expect. Virtual Console and Wiiware are steps in the right direction and proof that Nintendo isn't off so far off base. Xbox and Playstation offer full game downloads now however that doesn't mean that the next iteration of Nintendo console won't. Speculation is fun, however Nintendo will follow t...
Microsoft isn't giving away a free copy to all beta testers. The only people that receive a free copy are those that were invited to the Windows 7 Technical Beta Program. While this news is somewhat disappointing to me, it makes little sense to give every beta tester a free copy.
Support the developers? Just like PC gamers getting the game for free...how do they support anything if they get all the map packs free? The map packs are horribly overpriced on account console owners are paying the development costs for the PC version. Selling the maps separately wouldn't be a disservice to the consumer either. I only want the zombie map also.
I hope developers start charging PC gamers for the same stuff console owners pay for, if only because its fair.
Why would they release this game only on the Wii and PC? I purchased the XBLA 2D remake and want some more...
The title should read: The Decline of Quality JRPGs. Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Oblivion, and Fable II say hi. Western RPGs seem to be picking up the slack. With that said, Lost Odyssey and Star Ocean 4 are good imo.
Google has 60% of search...who has the monopoly?
Likewise, look at the peoples of Asia minor (mainly Turkey). I think people have the misconception that everyone in the Middle East is Arab...false.
I have tried this also, however its not without its issues. Only one gamertag may use the associated content purchased with that gamertag, without limit. What this means is that a secondary (your friends) console will have to hook up to the Internet permanently to verify the purchased content...and be signed into your profile every time to use said content. This makes sense if your at a friends/family's home, however its not practical otherwise.
I got in. Yay :-)
Exactly what I'm trying to find out...
Everything that was listed in the special editions is there besides the "dwarven sausage," PC/X360 additional copy, and special packaging (big box). The special edition is $75...if this is real...its probably quite a bit more.

About time...made me buy the XBLA version instead because I didn't think there would be an update. :-( Regardless, good news.
Halo fans will buy ODST regardless. However consider this: more people play the multiplayer on a daily basis than campaign. Does the article specify how much shorter? No.
All Halo 3 map packs (plus the second half of the Mythic maps) are free plus ODST "horde mode." Not bad imo.
Halo 3 campaign feels dated these days so I hope the ODST campaign isn't too short. More is always better.
Why would this come out for 360/PS3? Its a light gun game... Before anyone shouts out Time Crisis 4, remember that the Wii doesn't need additional hardware to be a light gun game.
I hope this isn't true as my Wii needs all the love it can get these days... :-p
Game Informer (in their latest issue) seemed to insinuate that Metal Gear Rising may take place before MGS4.
This theory makes sense to me, mainly, because there are large chunks of MGS4 that allude to Raidens adventures prior.
Not to start a flame war but don't get me started on clothing prices for Home...I boycotted $5 Diesel jeans a long time ago. :-p
The bottom line is don't buy DLC for your avatar as it should be free. If you have a name brand shirt, jeans, shoes, etc you are a walking advertisement...they should pay you.
I highly doubt the Unreal Engine 3 will improve by leaps and bounds...or blow people away so to speak. That is just PR talking. With that said, more could be done to improve the current version of UE3. Next gen consoles won't be out for another few years so its better to build on success...Besides, Epic is rolling in cash from all of its licensees, why reinvent the wheel? My take: promises are hollow until your able to see the improvements in-game.
The quality and price is good however PC gamers still get it for free. Pisses me off just thinking about it. If the DLC for PC is free, than the price should only be half of what is charged and past DLC should be free. OR, the new DlC should be free to everyone that paid $20 for the last 2 map packs.
Wow...all this fuss over nothing. Sounds like a witch-hunt to me...
You have to select the ad for it to play. If you don't want to look at it...don't. There is no banner that streams SPAM across the screen. There has always been ads in the blades. Watch them if your interested in the product advertised. Simple. Choice is always a good thing.
If a blu-ray add on is released for the 360...good. Choice is never a bad thing.
"Smaller Game Install Sizes:
You may now install games that are smaller than the previous 3 gigabyte limit. This allows some bonus disks and smaller games to be installed onto your hard drive."
Any examples? I can't think of any at the top of my head. At first I confused this feature with smaller game install sizes. I haven't tried to reinstall any games yet.
