I am in the same boat. Too many games and not enough time or money. Time is probably the main issue. I gave you an agree but almost changed it to disagree for listing "Dynasty Warrior 7." ;-) Good choices otherwise.
I will pick this trilogy up eventually but at a discounted rate.
Regardless, its nice to experience the game for the first time with improvements :-)
I almost bought it during the spend 1600 Microsoft points promotion, get 400 points. Glad I held out and saved $5 too.
I've had the Android App 360 Live for over a year now. It may be unofficial but by no means did Microsoft "force" me to buy new hardware. It so happens that Windows Phone 7 JUST CAME OUT. Official Xbox Live integration wasn't available until recently and it makes sense as a company to use LIVE! integration as a feature for their phones. They're able to leverage xbox loyalists whom want a higher quality app over to Windows Phone. It sounds very ironic to say Microsoft for...
Does Dead Nation have matchmaking for multiplayer or is multiplayer restricted to friends only? Silly question, however I hope to buy the game at some point and co-op is supposed to be quite fun(based on reviews). Thanks.
Exactly what I want. I haven't purchased Move because I'm waiting for Killzone 3 and other core titles with full Move integration. I really want Dead Space 2 with full Move support however only Dead Space Extraction will have it :-( Bring on the first and third person shooters with Move support and I might be compelled to buy all my shooters for the PS3 :-)
Buy BOTH! On that note, Dead Space 2 better not let me down.
I will most likely rent ME2 if only because I already sunk dozens of hours into it already. If the add-ons are worth a full game purchase I guess I will pony up. The game is discounted so extensively (on PC and 360)the additions better be worth a full game purchase. I feel like ME2 should release on PS3 for $40. At that price more people would be likely to repurchase and PS3 only users would be able to justify buy...
I would like to get the game, but I fear I don't have enough time to give. In the mean time I will rent it. Perhaps after I clear out my backlog of games, I'll pick GT5 up for cheap.
I'm not the biggest simulation racing fan however the community and quality of GT5 cannot be missed.
You didn't offend me. I think the fanboy's are offended that you listed your Xbox Gamer tag.
All and all the program is alright :-) I'll add you.
I blaim the movie industry for ruining every video game adaptation and completely alienating the fans of the game. Most video game to movie adaptations leave out all the small but important details that fans are looking forward to in the first place for the sake of capturing a "larger audience." The movies are made as vanilla and accessable as possible. I am still livid that Marky Mark Walberg is Nathan Drake! WTF! If Uncharted the movie fails its fans, it won't be the first tim...
PS Plus is more than a service for people that like to spend money. Its also for people that like to play betas, and get free stuff. I've been pretty pleased with the service so far. Recently Plus members were gifted both Oddworld games valued at $20. Not to mention every week a PSP mini or three are given away. Playstation Plus is for people who like to play games. I barely have enough time to keep up! ;-)
I find it amusing that Bobby Kotick is the poster child for greed and other gamer grievances. He's that guy people love to hate. Personally, I have little love for Kodick however I don't believe for a second that he is ultimately responsible for every poor decision on the part of Activision. They are a massaive company with hundreds (thousands?) of employees.
On topic: In a perfect world it would be nice if Activision was liable for a poor PS3 port, however this re...
"Best version of shepard was the female one." Matter of opinion. Frankly they are both good. I think I will choose a female in my next playthrough :-)
Edit: Playing as a male, I was able to identify with the character more as I customized shepard to look like me. Playing as a female will be like playing a completely different game. Now the only thing left to choose is whether she will be good or bad....Bad chicks are always much more fun :-p haha!
@ 8-bit and Ceekay
Why always bring up "X game is better than ________," to critique a game that you've never played? It's never relevent to any discussion. It's generally understood by gamers that GOW 3 is an excellent game...do you really need to say anymore? Also by now, haven't you already beat the God of War 3 multiple times? If you like the beat em' up genre, there is nothing wrong with wanting to play Splatterhouse. Its OK to have a litt...
I hope the console ports(?) are just as good quality wise as the PC. If I had a laptop that was capable of running this game, I would get it for PC.
People disagreeing with you for trying to be positive? Sure, the Wii version doesn't have as deep of multiplayer, however it definately makes the HD versions look much better in comparison. Personally, I think people disagreed for a moronic reason; for admitting you own the 360 version. I'm getting tired of all the fanboyism on this site. Seriously...is there any more than a few people that can be objective and talk about gaming because its fun?
What I thought was funny...and ironic, was that Kotaku had Droid 2 ads featured on the web page of the article. LOL
On topic: Regardless of how people feel about online fees, its important to realize that contracts and royalties are what influence the price of the console itself.
People still play Killzone 2 online?
With that said, multiplayer was OK. Otherwise, many people wouln't have stopped playing it after they reached all 16 ranks. The limited weapons and iffy controls also didn't help.
The campaign AI was ok in many instances, horrible in others.
When you treat every PS3 exclusive as a "god game" your unable to critique it or find any fault at all. I bet you couldn't say anything cr...
I think the controller is a little pricey for those of us with no need for a play and charge kit. It would be nice if it was available as a stand alone. The only reason why they are bundling the controller is for those early adopters and the fact that it might be a limited run controller. These days, I only buy controllers (for any console) when they are on sale. Controllers this gen haven't dropped in price; its a tad bit disapointing.
Whats really sad is all the Playstation kiddies clapping their hands in glee because of a number. Good to hear that sales are oh so important. Hypocrates much? The bottom line is that it never mattered how much either console sold. As long as everyone gets to play their console of choice, everyone should be happy.
Food for thought: Xbox 360 has routinely outsold the PS3 since the release of the Xbox 360 S worldwide. The launch of Kinect will surely keep it in the lead.
@ Pixel_Enemy- I also have Angry Birds on Android (Droid 1). Pretty much the best mobile game there is imo considering you can pick up and play for short bursts. I'm also curious how it plays on PS3. It would be nice if they optimized it for Move. That would be the most intuitive/best way to play it.
