Games are different in the sense that they tell a story AND you directly control the protagonist whom is either good or bad. Direct control doesn't make you culpable for what happens in the story, however games are entertainment. Playing as an real terrorist organization is just bad taste. Although you don't play as the Taliban in single player, it still feels wrong in multiplayer. Read: I don't want to play as the Taliban in multiplayer.

The Taliban are real an...

Agreed.

Who is to say what 2.2 actually means? Whats the difference between 2.2 or 3.2? Its hard to say. In either sense, the game is bad, but how bad is a big question mark.

Once you give the enemy a real name, the conflict becomes more real. In that sense, immersion may take a small hit. However, I find it morally suspect to play as the Taliban in multiplayer. Why would anyone? They are evil and will never rest until they take Afganistan back into the Dark Ages. Regardless, giving the Taliban a generic/non-offending name makes killing allied forces less morally troubling. In Modern Warfare, the enemy for the most part are the Russians, whom are not inherantly ba...

When signing up for the beta it was very explicit in stating that voice/communication services would be limited to only beta members. Perhaps a lot of people simply didn't read. :-p

Speaking of the beta, has anyone noticed that the voice chat (between other beta members) was substantially improved? For me, the quality was better than my phone.

To be honest, everyone is a follower to a certain extent. Unless others made mistakes, there wouldn't be a market leader. Perhaps M$ has had its fair share of mistakes, however they are hardly fail when you consider everything else they do

Windows and Office are two of M$'s biggest money makers, however Microsoft has many other products and services (of which you usually never hear about). Live Essentials for example is an excellent ...

MSN does have browser based games, however I'm not sure Xbox/MSN integration will have much to do with games :-p

In a sense, MSN integration is giving Xbox owners a little piece of the web without leaving their xbox. I'm all for new ways of consuming news/media, etc.

People disagreed because your making a pretty big generalization. History sometimes repeats itself but it doesn't always set a precident. Once upon a time, the ipod did not exist and neither did google. They assumed market leading positions because they're good products. The Zune HD is arguably a better "mp3" player than ipod touch. Unfortuanately it neither had the marketing budget or mindshare of the masses. Google on the other had has done so well on account its been the ...

Where is my Castlevania: LOS demo! Still waiting. I thought that Playstation Plus members would get the demo this week :-(

There are some people that use they're console for more than just gaming. Watching Netflix, viewing uploaded family pictures from your console to the TV, web browsing, blu-ray, etc, etc.

Xbox 360 and PS3 have had non-gaming features from the get go. They keep getting new non-gaming functionality. Facebook integration for either comes to mind. There must be a reason why....

I read the article title and got very excited...now I'm sad :-(

I would love co-op in Dead Space 2... The first game was my GOTY.

Your little rant is misinformed and filled with conjecture...none of which is well thought out.

Lets break apart your "comment" will we?

Windows 7 doesn't have copy/paste, teethering, etc...
Probrably the biggest ommision. Although we are so soon to forget that the iPhone only recently aquired it. Also, when is the last time you used copy and paste on a cellphone? Not only is it awkward to use on my Droid but not practical. If your ...

The Android "people" don't really care for games? I have a Droid, and game on it. Also, judging from the thousands of people that buy games from the Android Marketplace, I'm not the only one.

The iPhone may get the better games and sooner, however Android is starting to get much better games. Windows Phone should have great games as well.

Just like with Xbox Live on the PC, Windows Phone will not require a membership to access its online gaming capabilities. Not sure when people started to spread misinformation, however, they should grow up.

"Also.. It's not known on whether they had the game installed to their 360's hard drive or not."

I didn't read your comment before I posted mine :-p

I wish that ign's reviews catered a little bit more to the multiconsole crowd. You would think there's quite a few gamers with either console and making the decision to get a game for X or Y console is difficult.
Off topic- I didn't think ign's review was as obje...

Most games ported from PS3 to Xbox360 have little difference between the two (Vanquish comes to mind). The same can't be said about Xbox360 to PS3 ports. Too bad, the 360 port suffers from framerate issues. I wonder if installing the game would alleviate this problem?

Either way, I'm glad that I have the option of choosing the game for either console. Guess its PS3 this time :-)

This game is horrible and not even worth trying the demo. Initially, when I saw the title of the article I thought the install would be larger. 5 GB isn't huge...however, for this game, a save file is too much wasted space already.

Nice read. I also wish the 720 was out and Halo Reach was a launch title. Oh well...guess we have to wait another 2 years. As long as there are good games I suppose its bareable.

Added you as a friend on Xbox Live. My gamertag is: dragunrising

I've been playing a lot of Halo Reach lately (:-p). Hope to see you online!

Until I clicked away from the main page into the comments I thought the article was about Move. Now, that would be an article I was interested in. Keyboards and mice on consoles is akin to cheating in my book.

On an related note, I hope Move is able to level the playing field of those few keyboard and mice PS3 gamers. Wii Motion Plus was a let down. I'm hoping Move replaces my Dualshock for Killzone 3 and Socom 4 :-)

All I need is a Move controller, navigation controller, and cam. It would be nice if there was more than one bundle. I'm waiting for Socom and Killzone 3 bundles. Hopefully Sony releases a bundle with one of those games.

"I'm sorry but the 360, while there is some good games, just isn't capable of handling a masterpiece like DS."

BS! Where do you come up with such garbage of opinion? If Demon's Souls was ported to 360 today, it wouldn't be any less of a classic. How could it? A games greatness isn't tied to console exclusivity.

Also, if Namco Bandai gives From Software extra time and money to work on Project Dark, isn't that a good thing?...
