The xbox 360 is a great machine but it isn't great enough to consider a big improvement over the PS3. Also, it is possible that some devs will unlock the secrets of the Cell CPU and eventually the PS3 could leap the Xbox 360. That said since the Xbox 360 didn't have the power to totally trump the PS3, there was no need for PS2 owners to switch. Not only that, but because of the horrible failure rate of the xbox 360 any of those PS2 owners MS turned were lost.

Note: I use activex addons to give IE similar functionality and IE still beats firefox 2. IE7 also renders pictures better than firefox. The only problem with IE7 was that it was not standards compliant. IE8 fixes this. Now it will be down to nit picking who has this or that.

Apple should really look into creating some kind of API like DirectX to aid developers in connecting the hardware with the software(OS). May cause ATI to drive their prices down. $1000 dollars might me a bit much but if ATI is force to compete and drops it $100 then two X2 cards would be $600 to $700 dollars. Now that is a good deal for 4 GPUs. ATI might not be the fastest but their price performance wise is pretty good.

If quality is really his concern he would have given us a 2 disc set. I would pay for a 2 disc Blu-ray MGS4 if it meant higher Quality/better gameplay. Yes, 100GB would be nice but probably not feasible now. Stop complaining and just do the damn thing!

But lets face it there are a lot of "Lazy" devs that want to make massive money with little effort. These devs are for profit not innovation per say or for pushing the boundary of tech and art.

Microsoft will hold out till 2009 with the current xbox. In 2009 or 2010 which ever works better for them they will support downloads (of course) but will support a movable medium (Flash drives).

Lot of us held off purchasing for quite awhile because we were concerned about investing into either format with the risk of investing into the losing format. It is however, much better this time than it was when my father had to decide between Beta max and VHS. Beta max was clearly superior than VHS but the industry went with VHS.
