Gamespot would block certain content for 1-3 minutes because of "exclusive"
IGN didn't have that problem.
Gamespot's quality was o.k.
IGN's was to small but excellent......but...
I zoomed firefox 3.0 in and the move player scaled so I saw it at regular size (put firefox in full screen mode also)
since the quality of the picture was fantastic it still looked better
scaled than Gamespot's full picture.

This Microsoft E3 conference was horrible until the FF13 announcement.
More of the same is what I got?
And yes, Microsoft's Avatar system sort of looks a little like a ripoff of Wii and Sony ideas but that's how it is in the world. The phrase is:
Can't Beat them, Join them? Ring a bell
No sense getting worked up over it.
Anyways - Boring best describes this Press Conference.
Microsoft and Square Enix may have given...
This was a slap in the face for Sony Fans, however, is it just me or did this Microsoft Press release kinda suck (as in boring) until this announcement?
I did thank you for the Surprise!
While I think this could make Sony bleed a little I don't think it is a system killer announcement.
Balls in your court now Sony what you got for us tomorrow?
Hopefully going multi-plat doesn't ruin the quality of their Square Enix's games.
However the new SSDs write times have improved dramatically to be competitive with HDDs. Sure there are HDD that write faster but can't match the read times.
Just get over it and face the facts. In 10 years there will be no storage media based on any kind of disc (hard or optical) (with maybe one possible exception - holographic storage. However, Holographic storage can be used both ways - on a spinning disc or on non-movable card. Current holographic storage already surpasses...
are too expensive! I drop my CS degree because I couldn't afford working and school(time vs money) and $60,000+ for a degree from a decent school which is crazy. I switched to IT with a programming certification which save me about $20,000.
Now if we all new we were going to get doctor wages easily after school it wouldn't be a problem but that is not what happens - is it?
Ichigo from Bleach!
I some how manage to get mozilla's firefox website up and was able to get the download popup. Using DownThemAll I got an initial error but I kept hitting resume and eventually I got on!
It downloaded at a very slow 6-7 kb/s for over half the download but eventually achieve 30 kb/s! Took forever. I made my contribution to help get Firefox in the Guinness World Records.
DownThemAll! is such an awesome extension.
Digg still brings firefox to its knees when...
How many Xbox 360 guys really believe there is 512 MB of Ram?
Fact: Xbox 360 uses Unified Memory structure
Now What if a Developer wanted to use 400Mb of memory for the CPU (which is 3 full cores by the way).
How much would the GPU (graphic processor) have left for memory?
112MB of memory
Fact is a Unified Memory structure is bad as all processors sharing the memory must battle it out for the extra few bits of memory.

Not only that I believe Mitsubishi was working directly with Sony on PS3 3d compatibility with their DLP Rear Projection. It look like Mitsubishi was all set to show it off and they sort of pulled back. I don't think it was bad but for good reasons. Mitsubishi is going to convert to Laser based light for their DLP rear projections and will be under the Diamond brand. Lazervue I believe is the techno jargon Mitsubishi is using to name the technology.
Bottom line is that it is...
Its possible that it will just be a thumbnail of the picture rather than the full deal. However, don't fret. Just upscale the image in any photo program like Photoshop or even Gimp which is free and available to Windows users as well.
As far as Down-loaders my favorite is DownThemAll extension for firefox. I just clicked on it and it found several jpeg images of SC4 on the site. Now I didn't download them so not sure if it works but the option was there if I wanted to try. Ot...
This is why you don't make exclusive deals with software vendors. Hardware I can understand because Hardware is an expensive chunk of metal and plastic without software and has to be planned before the software comes out. Most software vendors don't write for phantom systems but hardware guys will plan a next console with little knowledge as to how software vendors will support or not support any new technology crammed down their throats. There is enough evidence to suggest that the hardware ...
they are con artist. Always something wrong with my bill. Tried them while I was in San Diego. I also had their land-line service they did the same crappy stunts. I moved found out the only carrier around here is Embarq and they said they were not sprint but took it over for sprint. Embarq pulled same billing and customer service crap I started to wonder. I had this magical bill I supposedly owed them 2 years before I ever used them they gave me the run around. Would not admit that it ...
Stage6 is down how else is divx users going to get their fix
after reading your remarks you might as well group yourself with those comments.
Games do not constitute whether the hardware or OS is good or not.
Mac OSX has proven to be much better than windows xp or vista as an operating system. Hardware bench marks show that Mac Intel based computers are some of the best built and fastest at running XP and Vista because they are built much better than the average PC. User Interface is harder because of each individual ta...
add this to the thousands of reasons why copyright right laws stifle progress. Divx web player was the only stable web player on the web that could play HD content without much of a penalty on the computer.
another crysis game where you need a mega computer just to play it the way it was ment to be played
In a way, some of you are right, "people" as in normal people, may not need a Tera bytes of storage but developers do. This is exactly what Hideo Kojima was trying to tell the public. There will never be enough space on a disk or storage format to realize the dream game with no compromises. Devs will always want more. We have yet gone to true 3D television yet where now you have one to several more screens interacting with another plus aligning all that stuff up in a game is goi...
These announcements were not to educate the people but to tell the investors, the industry including their competitors (Microsoft) that they are ready to dance if necessary.
Microsoft has to be real careful not to awaken the sleeping giant. Push and more and likely Sony will push back. Sony will just play it by ear and if the Price cut is a problem and the blockbuster games don't sell the system Sony could possible start rolling out 45 nm Cell. However, they would have to be pe...
They should be stomping the competition not winning with a slim lead. Especially in its own backyard. I believe Sony is ahead worldwide. That's Microsoft's fault though. Should have diversified their lineup a bit and up the quality sooner rather than later (GoW was the first real next gen title during its first year on the market should have been more.
But this could be considered the hump for the 360 anyways - especially since the first xbox was out for 4 years why not do th...
showing that psp can playback all kinds of download content including gametrailers. Probably whoever was in charge of cut the film and computer graphics was told that they needed a PSP graphic in the video clip so they just grab whatever and threw it in. Add to the mistake made by the announcer (bad at names especially when extremely tired) adding the title as a PSP title instead of catching the error.
Just goes to show you that bunch of small mistakes can be as big as a Big m...
