I got screw investing in the Gamecube I'm not about to make the same mistake twice. I just don't think Nintendo will do any better than they did with the Gamecube.

1. People like me who felt Nintendo didn't put enough the in the overall experience for the gamecube and expect us to purchase last generation tech for more than it is worth (I don't believe gamers are that naive - probably why Nintendo was shooting for a different type of gamer. Basically gamers that love to game b...

Technology is moving too fast. We are in another growth period and it doesn't look to slow down either for a good 10 years. In five years, new Processor technology, including the Cell, will be too tempting for whoever is losing the console war (this includes Nintendo). Also, Memory will be massively cheap AND may even see some technology changes as well. Another thing that will be improved is GPU designs and Intel will also be in the picture as well in 5 to 7 years (this is a good thing it...

More money for games.... I don't really use the multicard reader stuff but if I needed it I can get it later as the PS3 is more industry friendly with usb devices. Supposedly usb hubs work also on the PS3 and with the 40GB if I need more USB ports I am sure that won't be a problem either (not that I need it) as the market now has a reason to provide.

There are a lot of us types out there. We don't look back on games or still have working hardware from the previous generation ...

There is Color range benefits as well as signal clarity. 1080p is overrated. We have been watching live tv in DVD quality for a long time yet games have yet to mimic real life in even 480p. Resolution is a factor but as you increase the resolution there is a point where the human eye won't decern the difference. This is already happening between 720p and 1080p as technology gets better and better and it will get worse the next Leap from 1080p to whatever.

If you read the review. This projector is so good unless it was next to another 1080p projector you couldn't tell even then Projectcentral said it was hard press to find anything wrong with this projector. I can't afford an awesome $3500 Front Projector or Flat Screen but $1299 is great and you can easily achieve 100" with this thing in a lighted room! Panasonic has some awesome technology when it comes to Front Projectors and they are alway price competively.

is the fact that competition is so bad between consoles right now that it is guaranteed that one or two of the console makers will come out with a next gen system in by 2010 (which is a little over 2 years left). Microsoft dump the xbox in 4 years - it is conceivable. So how many whiners, cry babies, and hecklers will appear then.

Go for it Sony, Go for it Microsoft, Go for it Nintendo, keep pumping out new and improve game consoles.

I for one don't like waitin...

Panasonic just released their new PT-AX200U. Here is a brief specs on the projector but you have got to read projectorcentral's review at:

http://www.projectorcentral...

This projector also has a Game Mode that actually works. It will give you 0.3 ms response time!

Here is a small sample of the Specs but you need to read the whole article because of th...

I'm and Xbox 360 owner and I haven't a PS2 or any worth while games left for it. It kicked the bucket a long time ago. I traded what games I could for xbox 360 games and gave the rest away. I rarely look back. I miss ffVII, but I'm not going to pay the premium just to play one game. Besides, if someone did have a few left to justify, Sony is still selling PS2 for $99, I believe, so pick up a new one before Sony axes it. Hardware will always beat software emulation any day. Back to no P...

consoles come out. that doesn't mean they are liars though. The PS3 will still be supported but will probably drop ps2. Now to finish my statement above is that we will see a new console in 3 years and the Next Controller will be bundled with that. Sony will do well this generation with the PS3 but if Sony is going to survive the Next they will need to keep faith in the technology they started and stay with the Cell processor. Technically they could. IBM has various tweaked versions of ...

A new smaller cooler faster version of the same Cell CPU at 45nm (fanless) Runs at 5-6 GHz instead of 3.2 GHz

Able to shrink the PS3 into a smaller overall package.

Added two new ports - an Esata and a firewire connection for better external hard drive compatibility.

Comes with 2 GB of ram. Newly designed smaller PS3 comes with a newer board design specifically to add new memory so it is accessible from underneath and has 2 slots that is compatibl...

There is some truth to the Goblin's saying that in the end people like to see a hero fail.

Playstation was that hero.

Oh Microsoft sure hands out a lot of dough to the media...

My friends 11 year old son did so well this summer mowing launs that he bought his own riding lawn mower, and his own push mower, and weed wacker (all gas no cheap electric crap) and still had enough money to purchase a PS3 and games if he wanted too. Lawn cutting services have gotten so expensive in the U.S. even an 11 year old kid can compete and make a boat load of cash over the summer.

P.S.

Best interview I've seen Phil do. More and More it seems that Sony...

1. Single player is real short.
2. Framerate is not great only good.
3. Mutltiplayer is limited to 16.
4. (this is really more opinion) But G4 touted as great I not a big fan of used maps so any game reusing old maps get a point knocked off for duplication and no creativity.

I tend to agree with reviews that keep it in the 8-9 category. To me this seems like a Halo 2.5 (which isn't a bad thing but I would not say next gen). Not to hard to polish Halo 2 by ...

that quite often the characters feet/lower legs sort of disappeared (especially on the steep roofs). I don't think this game will graphically wow anyone but the gameplay and interaction with the environment might over come this. I'd probably rent this game before purchasing it.

Too many ifs.

America and Europe were actually more interested in rumble than Japan and I believe Americans were making most complaints of everybody. I'm American and I know how idiotically in love gamers are over here over rumble (I'm not a rumble fan though), but its good to know Sony looking out for all its costumers - even its rumble lov'n fans.

We have a huge RPG and Japanese anime fanbase here in the U.S.. We love RPGs and we've been playing them for a long time (mostly on the PC but PS console did have a good run of decent rpgs).

You could have left the idiotic "must be American Remark" out. I'm not totally raggin on you though, it is quite possible the gamer was not an experience gamer. Could be that White knight's combat system is different enough that even an experience user would need to get used to...

People don't like to put on gear when they get home (its usually the opposite). Besides, it probably wont be difficult to build a controller that can tell if your ducking. However, if you want a game character to mimic your exact movements I would put my bets on a Super advance Camera system that can detect individual body movements included had gestures (would be cool in a naruto game to actual perform the gestures to call on those ninja powers). Also would be cool if the camera could trac...

This kind of article needs to wait a good 2 to 3 years for the market to mature. I doubt this generation you will see by month releases. For this generation 2-4 times a year would be episodic.

Remember, Next Gen is still new and takes to much resources to do it on a month basis. But Hey, in 5 to 10 years games like Bioshock, Haze, Drake's uncharted, Heaven Sword, (even Lair) will be childs play to create on any system.

But.......... Leave it to Sony and Microso...

maybe people from other races should work on their own racism. As a father of children that "used" to go to a prodominently ethnic school (60% is made up of Black and Mexican while almost split between asian and white -we have a very large korean community). My boys got heckled all the time for being white. What to my oldest sons surprise when he got punished for any racist remark cause he felt he had to fight back.

You can't fight racism with racism. I have heard ...

Toshiba heavily subsidized their players and has spent way more money (or is lost more money) than the BD camp to keep its format alive. The only BD player thats been heavily subsidized in the BD camp is the PS3 which would have been subsidize regardless because that is the usual in the console market.

BD has been doing so well that there has been no need to do what Toshiba has done. However, since the Blu-ray camp is making more money than the HD DVD both hardware and movie ...
