And how long has the Xbox360 been out???? It took the PS3 and the 360 years to finalize their respective multimedia services so why you guys expect Nintendo to get their down on launch or within a week.

The WiiU was just released, so over time (just like with the PS3), easier solution will be released. Comparing it to 6-7 yr consoles whos services evolved over the years is silly.

This will end the nonsense I keep reading from faceless exporters claiming the Wii U is less powerful than the Xbox360.

After reading your nonsense rant... its clear you need more oxygen to the brain.

You keep on waiting for that PS4.. just don't be too depressed when your expectations of this futuristic level graphics and gameplay fall way short. Clearly there is a difference between reality and Xbox/PS fans when it comes to what the next consoles from Sony and Microsoft will be. Always remember there is a cost associated with it.

@ TimmyShire,

You do realize its a straight port... right!!!

Why are people acting silly. Every console goes through this when it launch and the pervious generation always continues to have strong sales due to games already available and its lower price point during the christmas season.

Its laughable how people are trying to create drama out of this. The Xbox720 and the PS4 will have the same shortage problem and nuckle heads saying the same nonsense. Nothing to discuss here.

The 8GB model can also be purchased online... But no one really wants that version hence the reason why its available. The Deluxe model is the one thats very VERY hard to find and often sold out in mins.

The best way to get your hands on the Wii U Deluxe (lets face it guys its the only version to get) is using a website the constantly check online vendors for renewed stock. I use http://www.zoolert.com/nint... and it updates on the min every min. I bought my Wii U today and the site notified me it was in stock. Check it out if you looking to get one. I dont have the time or patience driving around wasting g...

Well said. I got the same understanding after reading the article. It was only a matter of time we would know the true specs and capabilities of the Wii U. A straight port of a game designed to use 360/PS3 aged architecture should never been seen as the benchmark for a new console. When solid information (video/screen shoots) of the game Retro is working on is shown, only them will we see the first glimpse of the true graphical/gameplay mechanics potential of the Wii U. Games for now will loo...

Does it really matter at this point if 4K HDTVs will be be mainstream and/or affordable for a years to come (maybe 3-4yrs from now).

@Walker007

I fully agree with you. PS3/Xbox360 are capable of those visuals and Wii U can do that easily. Nothing next gen about those screen shots.

That goes without saying. Nintendo consoles typically are a 4 year cycle system. Sony and Microsoft (with their higher end technology) are more of a 6+ year system. So there is nothing to debate here. The only problem for consumers is, what will be the initial price of the consoles (PS4/Xbox720) when it comes to market. I personally expect an average price of $500-$600. That will be a serious problem. History already tells us it will... one just has to look back at the PS3 launch.

@KingOptimusAscend111

Yes it will. The author of the article brought up very good points. Wii U will be the RPG preferred console of choice (that allow will make it own the Jap market). Nintendo is also being very smart with letting developers set their own price for their download content and Nintendo will not charge any fees for developers to distribute patches and DLC content (Microsoft and Sony do) which will make their platform very attractive for developers. Time will t...

@Coolman229

No I do not, but I did watch over 50% walkthrough gameplay which confirms some of the overly repetitive gameplay mechanics talked about by gamespot. ZombiU 2 will be the version I will own. The only two games I will be purchasing for the Wii U this year are Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Assassin’s Creed III. Then download Trine 2: Director’s Cut.

i will wait for the real Mario game. I can always get a used New Super Mario Bros. U game later.

How is a triple or quad core Power PC running at 1.5Ghz poor??

4862d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

Its a port.... Let me repeat... Its a port of a game that was built for the Xbox360/PS3. So it will not have significant improvement since it was not built for the WiiU... just simply ported over. If you and other want to see what the WiiU hardware can do.. you will have to wait and see what Retro is developing. For example, most multiplatform games look better on Xbox360 when compared to PS3, but when you look at PS3 1st and 3rd party games... then the PS3 dominance in graphics and physics s...

Very good that they are working on correcting that problem. It is not acceptable for a new console with 1GB of memory dedicated to the OS to have up to 11sec or more when going from game back to the main menu. I hope they get this fixed by the end of Dec.

4863d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

@ Vallencer..

The Wii U is a newer hardware with 1GB dedicated to the OS. 11 seconds to move from menu options is piss poor (11 seconds from game back to main menu is terrible). Lets not compare it to anything else and let the console stand on its own. Nintendo needs to fix that problem.
