They've already said that Battle.net is free, and they probably will lose ad revenue if some players start going over to private servers. Thats how they pay for maintenance.
30fps
Airplanes, bikes, and tanks weren't in the game because Rockstar didn't want to put them in. Not because of DVD9.
As I remember from Sony's E3 conference, they mention that some actions of games require triggers, and thus controllers. Thats what leads me to question what Natal can bring in the way of core games. I can't even imagine a shooter on it. Sure they could add peripheral devices to it but that would jack up the cost, and for the most part we know that Natal won't be the cheapest accessory in the world.
However one thing that makes me wonder about the dildo-wand is how are you going ...
compare a ps1 controller with a ps2 controller then a ps3 controller. Hell then compare it with a 360 controller. all have the same amount of buttons. the only addition was analog sticks.
so no controllers aren't getting more buttons.
ya but probably not brain age so much.
No. Fan test is not a feature thats supposed to be used. Its damaging and voids any warranty that you have.
I'm not totally sure what you mean by base building, but if you mean having to build unit factories and such, then ya.
Wtf? Why would you make a game that plays itself? How is that fun?
The wii doesn't turn 5 for about another 3 years.
Of the three, I'd say Sony's impressed me the most. I think Nintendo has failed to use the motion control to satisfy hardcore gamers, so i'm just looking past them. Natal just has too many question and everything MS said about it is ambition, not substance. Plus, i saw no demo's of game i would want to play. In sony's demonstration, they showed things that I would be interested in, sword fighting, archery, things that go above minigames.
Its not that I don't think natal could be...
In all fairness, valve has a right to develop for whatever console they choose. And at least Gabe's honest about it.
At least these Koreans ain't got nukes.
i didn't even realize it was a forum post until you said that.
No, discs just have way too many advantages right now. This on demand thing isn't going to be a major seller of games, people aren't ready. MS just wants to test the water, and see how far away DD is from seeing the masses.
Its hard to develop for. Developers have to learn how to do it and do it right. Plus many developers don't feel the need to push the ps3 to its max if they're making a multi game. Just get it even, its not worth the time and effort to use blu-ray and the cell to its potential.
Not having a 360 myself i don't get much time with the dashboard or whatever they call it now, but I honestly believe that there current one exceeds the blades easily in ease of use and fucntionality. However, its looks leave a little to be desired imo. If MS changed the dash again i would hope they would keep the same basic system they have now, but give it a better look.
So because fanboys are attacking it we should write a stupid article trying to persuade them to think otherwise? oh my god, I'm stupid! How could I forget that fanboys are reasonable?
Fanboys bash everything opposite their console and praise everything about it. Ignore it. its not going away.
The media has hyped this thing like its the second coming of Christ. Its been called the future of gaming, the most innovative piece of hardware ever, etc. To say that people aren't truly realizing what Natal can bring is moronic. Most reasonable people have more than hailed natal, they've given it a legendary status. So to say people are basically not giving it enough credit is stupid (I know that sounds ignorant, but come on. Look around).
And I never said it was overrated. I j...
Don't blame Blizzard, blame pirates. They have every right to get every penny they earned for making this game, and unfortunately LAN would sabotage this. Besides, this is 2009. Battle.net won't lag like it did when starcraft 1 was released.
