The game lacked character development. All the characters were never really delved into. They were just there. That's is really the only problem with the game. New battle system was awesome, the license system was cool (although i prefer the sphere grid personally + the license system helped take away characterization,) and the bounty hunts were awesome.
Well good for the three of them.

Sales don't equal quality. The wii is a prime example of that.
MS spent 350million or so on them, and has gotten 60million from them since. Thats the definition of bust, at least in financial terms. but then again game quality should never be judged by sales.
But then again, the games they've been putting out haven't exactly been AAA either. Quite a mixed bag with this situation.
