Normally when we see an article like this, another will pop up a few days later with the title
"why it's a good idea to buy a PS5 right now instead of a Series X"
To be honest you could definately draw up a shortlist, for an article
1 - Wifi 6 - not available on Series X
2 - dualsense - not available on Series X
3 - 1st party titles - better than Series X
4 - console design - better than Series ...
Well said, i am an xbox gamer, but i do not dislike sony nor playstation, if it was up to me and i had the time, money, and effort, i would own both.
@CaptainHenry916
The Series S load time is 6 seconds 36 ms, so what we can take away from it, is the S has loading times more or less identical to the Series X.
The Series S is performing extremely well for the cost, and for those who want the next-gen games, without the high cost, it is a great option.
So, what i initially said, when i said XSX outperforms PS5 in resolution/textures was correct?
I could not include framerate comparisons, as you did not include them, so was unaware they both ran identically.
Overall good results from the X, keeping pace with the PS5.
Just going off your summary razzer
"PS5 Quality Mode
Mostly the same as XSX quality mode except for slight resolution variance."
So not the same, but now your saying it is the same?
"You failed to mention PS5 and XSX perform the same in quality mode."
Which is it? Do they perform the same, or does the Series X outperform PS5 in regard to resolution/textures?
So...
You can unlock them, but they will only show as unlocked once you connect to xbox live to sync.
Will be exactly the same, same with Series S X and PS5
@Stanjara
If it is a standard CR2032 CMOS battery, they are about £1 and pop straight out.
Chances are though, you will not need to replace the battery as they last quite a long time.
the battery is not just for the system clock
You don't lose anything, the system just will not function if the battery dies, as that is how a system remembers all the data necessary to run a system.
Just replace the battery, and then hook it up to PSN, job done.
If a system battery dies, any system will cease to operate.
PC's are the same, the system battery makes sure the system remembers basic input and output settings, hardware, date/time etc etc.
No system will operate without one.
"One of the biggest problems you have to be on the lookout for with PS4 is the console’s clock battery dies"
Not just an issue with the PS4, that is what happens when any system battery dies, even in a PC, replace it and your all good.
My TV remote has this feature too, i press the button and it mutes all sound, also the headset has a mute button on it as well.
Must be a very very slow news week.
When i read simulation, i thought they were going to include games like train sim world, goat simulator, planet coaster, screamride, the sims 4, games like that.
@Kornholic
"What trend? So far most games have performed better on PS5."
I agree, pity you can not get those games on Series X......
#askthedevs
Why is that? because it outperforms PS5, so now it is a poor game?
Interested in what you would have said if the PS5 version outperformed the X?
@Kornholic
"The Xbox Series X is full of bottlenecks by design."
So your saying games are outperforming PS5 with bottlenecks? wow it must be a beast, imagine games once the bottlenecks are worked around /s
I know those 2 seconds right!!!!
How dare you say you have no interested in the games available for PS5!!!
Especially on here!!!
There are plenty of next-gen games.............. erm.......... hang on......... Demon's Souls, see, i told you
(P.s. i'm being sarcastic and just having a bit of fun, tbf though, there are not many next-gen exclusives that are out now)
