I was just curious that is all, especially as technology has advanced, and more or less every household (at least in Europe, and US) has a home broadband connection.

Not a dig at anyone, it just peaked my interest is all. I understand not playing multiplayer, i do not do a lot of that, i prefer co-op, singleplayer, but the console is still connected to the home network, essentially putting the console online.

Don't think the PS5 has ever been double, it has hovered around 1.5:1 since launch.

If you have always had gold, you probably would have missed it.

I spent a month or 2 on silver about 12 years ago, and i could not join parties, but i could do one to one chatting.

You could chat, but not join parties.

One of the batteries failed on a machine at work, and now i need to do a windows repair after replacing lol.

Newer ones are just used for time and not BIOS settings, as these are now commonly stored in flash.

But old PC's can be a pain.

Just looked further, and it seems although there was a slot on the Series X board for a battery, it is not on the retail units.

So looks like Series s/x and PS5 use flash

I would say it was just a dodgy battery, the lifetime in these things are quite long.

Maybe you need to look at an updated gamepass games list before you look silly.

Yeah because i want to sit there for 10 minutes waiting for a game to load on an old console, when i can just use BC and it load in 5 seconds

Surprisingly enough, i use quick resume all the time, and you do not even need the game on the internal SSD to use it, i use it on the games from my external HDD.

a game that takes 3 seconds to load for you? is instantaneous for me, and then i do not need to navigate through menu's to load save games etc, heck i don't even need to save the game anymore.
