Xbox family of consoles (xbox one/x/series X) have NO exclusives, all games are playable on all 3 platforms. (and now also PC via gamepass etc)
Microsoft announced i think 2 E3's ago, there would be no more "console exclusives" as all games/accessories will be backwards/forwards compatible.

I did not mention Sony at all, i did not state what i was buying. I did not say Sony wasn't supporting crossplay, i dont know if they are.

Microsoft do not do console exclusives anymore, and have not for a while. Why limit the playerbase on games to 1 single platform. Cross-platform play is the future, and personally i like the fact i can buy a new console and all my games and accessories work straight off the bat. I do not have to re-buy the games ...

Ps4 sales are close to 9-10 million in Japan alone, compared with not even 115,000 xbox one.
The PS4 may be set to finish 2nd this gen overall. Would that make them a failure too?

the 360 figures were nearly doubled/tripled due to the RROD issue.
So Microsoft consoles have gradually sold better, Xbox/Xbox 360/Xbox One
I alone had 2 consoles that suffered from RROD outside of Warranty, and one where the disc drive failed.
The switch is outselling everything else combined.
Will not be long till it approaches PS4 numbers.
I would not write off anyone winning next generation as we know nothing about the consoles/games etc as of yet.
Approaching 50 million consoles sold is not a gen of misery, to say that they do not have the Japanese market.
Just because they are not as popular a brand name as Sony and Nintendo, does not constitute failure.
Remember the original xbox only sold around 25 million worldwide, which was still not a bad crack for a first console. As long as Microsoft keep improving within their own ecosystem, they will see that as progression.

err no. as there are no Xbox one X exclusives, so the comment

holds no ground as any xbox fan/owner is not expecting any console exclusives. I will be able to plug my Series X in, throw in a xbox one game disc, and play off the get go with my xbox one controller, add to that all the new games that will be out.
How is this a bad thing for the xbox gamer...
