PC or xbox, Microsoft gets a game sale.
Profit is made on software, not hardware
anyone knows this
@Realms
The Switch is also outselling the PS4, what's your point?
@Wave
At least xbox gamers are not forced to buy the next console to carry on playing their favourite IP.
straight from the horses mouth to the doubters X games will be held back,
"The possibilities of what Xbox Series X enables developers to achieve was also brought to life this evening with the unveiling of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. A sequel to the award-winning Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice from world-renowned developers Ninja Theory, the game is being built to leverage the full power of Xbox Series X."

It will only need a patch on Series X, if they plan for graphical upgrades like 4K native, or higher FPS.
Otherwise it will still play on Series X day one.
@sushimama
Or buy the game for xbox one if you plan on getting the Series X, then when the Series X is launched, pop the disc in and carry on with your cloud save.
No need to wait till Series X is launched.
@UltraNova
They do not need to optimise the game for the xbox family of consoles. The game will be playable on the Series X on launch day, along with all the back catalogue of xbox one games.
"As GamesRadar reports, well-known games journalist and news editor at Kotaku, Jason Schreier, has stated on the Splitscreen podcast (29 minute mark) that Sony will have PS5-exclusive launch games. In order to play them you'll need to buy a PS5, which is what we've come to expect."
So not confirmed by Sony, just a presumption by Kotaku. And still no confirmation on the actual titles that are exclusive? So could be indie titles? we need facts direct from an...
wont PS5 games be available on PC via PSNOW? So that argument is getting a bit old now
@madgamer
Please link source detailing confirmation of PS5 exclusivity for these games.
Its easy to put a new number after the current PS4 IP's and say they will definately be exclusive.
Please list current announced PS5 exclusives for a comparison.
They do have new IP's, we have not had halo since 2015.
I agree Rainslacker
People are making out like Series X is going to be held back. When it won't. Only minor changes will need to be made to adapt to the Xbox one/X. This will be more prevalent in 1st party games.
1st party will all be using the same API's, and will be able to scale to all xbox family members. The same can not be said for 3rd party, who may well focus on the Series X/PS5 as the platform.
The discussion is about w...
I disagree
How is it a deal breaker if the message is clear?
You will still get next gen games releasing with graphical fidelity unable to be utilised on the Xbox one X. It is called scaling to the hardware. (exactly what PC does) A game is programmed using the highest end specs used (in this case Xbox Series X) and then the game settings are scalable by the hardware itself using the API's
"a set of functions and procedures allowing the creation of applica...
COD being the main culprit
The only thing you will be missing out on is Sony exclusive game trailers.
All 3rd party games will still be shown at E3, via the conferences
@2pacalypse
So by your reasoning, new graphics cards etc for PC are all just upgrades?
Or a new generation of graphical technology?
Consoles are now on a tech stage with pc's architecture
all xbox games will be cross-gen
@Dovergamer
Isn't EA Access now available on PS4?
