Pretty hard to make a statement like that as we only have Cerny's "word" on what the PS5 can do, and we are still to see any games running on the console or even the hardware itself.

Let's wait and see what happens with launches and then start making judgements.

Ubisoft have said it may change close to release date, but the bare minimum is 30fps.

Developers will increase the frame rate if it is possible to still keep graphical fidelity and stability.

@Isarai,

No, an SSD can not magically make a CPU or a GPU output at a faster clock speed.

A CPU/GPU has a peak threshold that is the maximum speed it will reach, save for if you overclock, then you are looking at thermal issues. Sure an SSD can load the data into RAM/CPU/GPU a lot quicker, but the system will only perform at its peak performance. No SSD secret sauce can increase it. After all, an SSD is just a Solid State Drive.

Nice deflection and avoid tactic, you did not answer my questions, rather avoid the discussion.

Have you developed all 3rd party games? Most of the games listed are 3rd Party.

So are you saying they will never be fully optimized for PS5 also?

Which games are currently running at 30fps on next gen hardware?

So shall i stick with my 1080p TV?

Spin it all you want, fanboys were calling "no first party exclusives for at least 2 years". and they were adamant, that NO 3rd party developers at this showing, would show "exclusives".

The qoute "no first party exclusives for at least 2 years" is taking something Matt Booty said out of context. His quote was "all our 1st party content, over the next 1 or 2 years, will be playable across the family of devices", no where did he state ...

No need to get defensive Onilink, just enjoy the show :)

Looks like 4K 60fps is gonna be the minimum!!

Time to invest in a 4K TV i think.

Still exclusive to Microsoft, first party or not

Clearly did not read/understand the article FlavorLav01, i will try and help...

"The Medium's Core Gameplay Wasn't Possible On Current-Gen"

Self-explanatory from the title.

"On paper it's a good decision but clearly the games are being held back by being able to run on current gen hardware"

Current-gen? This is not available on the xbox one/X as stated in the article.

So much for

"no exclusives on the Series X for the first 2 years"

That lasted long

@garos82

So what you are trying to say, is that there is not 1 PC game out there, that utilizes SSD features for their game? and this is a world first for PS5?

"Game devs would need to design levels differently for various hardware which is time consuming and costly"

Game developers already do this, don't they???

There are games on the market, where they state SSD as a recommended requirement, not a nece...

@Wetpapertowel

"If certain games on PC implement it like that too, any other version of that game would be affected a lot more than just "loading screens". It could make them very difficult to play if using a regular harddrive, for example."

They would just use different assets etc, for gamers not using SSD's on PC, they do this already it is nothing new.

2236d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

They will just disable ray tracing and extra features etc, on the PC, with the option to enable options to match the PC setup.

You know, like they do with all games now.

It will be design with the SSD in mind, mainly for the features, they can still get it to work on normal HDD.

@Starchild

It is plainly obvious that monkey is not regarding PC with his comments, mainly due to the quote "next gen systems"

This was the game that peaked my interest the most out of what was shown, very similar style to silent hill, which is probably due to the employment of a previous person that worked on silent hill.

@Razzer,

Most of the comments in this thread are stating how well the PS4 is outselling the xbox one, negating the sales statistics of the Switch, no contradicting here, just facts.

The Switch has been the best selling console worldwide, for the past few weeks if not months - fact.

Lets have a look at Sony PS2 opposition (best selling console of all time) :-

Dreamcast - 9 million total sales, discontinued in 2001
