Why do they need an answer? It is apparently only "crossbuy"

2187d ago 0 agree8 disagreeView comment

To be fair, most of Sony 1st party will not be available in the 1st 1-2 years.

Do we have confirmed launch titles?

Or are most available 2021/2022?

@mkis007

Crossbuy, you do not get a better version of the game on a different platform

Smart delivery, you get an enhanced version of the game on the different platform.

Hope you understand the simple explanation of the difference.

@Razzer

It is not yet clear whether the PS5 version is upgraded to a better version than the PS4, like higher framerates, higher resolution, HDR support, etc. They have not clarified.

Please provide a source that states from Sony, that the PS5 version of the game will be upgraded over the PS4. I can do so for Microsoft :-

"Optimized for Xbox Series X – Games built using the Xbox Series X development kit and designed to take advanta...

"We've already been over that Smart Delivery is just a different marketing word for Cross Buy."

No, it isn't, i think you are confusing it with crossbuy. Smart delivery gives you a better version of the game if played on a Series X, as opposed to an xbox one. You clearly have not researched what smart delivery is actually doing. Cross buy, does not offer improvements.

Where are Microsoft touting every game will be 60fps? Source please

2187d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Let us see if people try and spin this into a negative and claim Microsoft is "anti-consumer".

Between 75 and 100 games to demo closer to the date!! excellent idea, and a brilliant way for the xbox userbase to try out games they would not have otherwise looked at.

@russo121

Who is advertising 4k+60fps+rt on the xbox series X?

@Yodasfavoritesoda

I would say 4K 30fps for both platforms.

@gigzamillion

no-one is led to believe the series X is a "4k 60fps" system so no-one will be disappointed

My point is, it was a bad example to use a pre-rendered trailer in your argument. A game trailer can be set to any resolution and is not representative of final product. Neither is the UE5 playable demo.

I did not think the UE5 demo was "trash" and i did not even realise what fps or resolution it was running at as i was too focused on looking at the actual tech.

And not once did i personally think of the Hellblade trailer as gameplay, it was eve...

Hellblade was a trailer not gameplay lmao, how can you even compare that to a playable demo?

The disagrees were a given, please could someone share a source of a "next-gen" game on any platform, utilising either 3D audio, spatial audio, hardware accelerated ray tracing, next-gen physics, AI.

So far we have not seen 1 game utilising next-gen features, just games that "look" better, and a few that take advantage of the SSD speeds.

Jeez, we have not even seen a game built using Unreal Engine 5, utilising Nanite or Lumen.

funny thing is, this latest developer is just mentioning PS5 whilst talking about a game they have already released.

He does not say he is working on a PS5 game.

2188d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

This is a poorly written article, to basically mention 2 sentences a developer has said, from a game released on the PS4/Xbox one.

He basically said the following (whilst talking about how well he had the game running on PC ) :-

"But the variable frequency is a neat idea (if it works properly) because it’s very versatile."

And about tempest :-

"“It will be a game-changer but it will also depend on the c...

I have to admit, to suggest Tflops "changes" in regard to how much processing power is being used is a slightly silly thing to try and defend.

A Tflop figure, is a number that is given to the theoretical peak performance output of a computer or in this case console. It is a calculation of the floating point operations per second, so a teraflop, is a trillion "flops" per second. A system can not be 10tflops, and then 8tflops another time. It is quite simp...

Like i said, as much as you "assume" these studios are tied up for the next 2 years, i think you will be surprised what is shown after watching the event.

I'd say it's more your "change of scenery" kind of departure.

But let me guess, someone leaves a post at Microsoft it's "Internal issues", someone leaves at Sony and it's "he was a great servant, and is having a career change"

2 : Gears 5 enhanced is not a new game
3 : Forza 8 maybe, Forza Horizon is not made by turn 10, but also playground games.
7: Minecraft Raytracing, again not a game.
11 : worlds edge:age of empires, again i will be shocked if a new age of empires is released for xbox.

I don't know why you included (multiplatform) when we know all MS 1st party will be available on Windows PC.

And also, studios normally have 2-3 projects at th...

"Microsoft wants to beat Sony to the punch, so they do a reveal."

Sony did their reveal first? Xbox's is in July....

"Xbox One failed and they couldn't have that, so they went with Xbox One X,"

Erm... both companies did a mid-gen refresh??

45+ million people bought either the xbox one, or the xbox one x.

I wouldn't mind creating something, hitting them sales figures,...
