I was alluding to the fps, not so much the resolution in response to having to shell a lot of money for a 4K 100hz+ tv set. (They are hard to find at affordable prices).

And yes 4K means nothing to me, although when you run a game in 4K mode on the xbox one x, you still see a noticeable improvement in the graphical fidelity, although it is still displaying as 1080p.

My 1080p tv is only 60hz, so 120fps means nowt to me.

I think for both platforms we are looking at 2 options :

4K - 60fps
1440p - 120fps

@Razzer

Nice try with the image, not only do we know whether this is a new account, or if this is even the account you already have gamepass for, it is also the gamepass for PC (beta) for $1.

Share next months subscription cost chief.

They can still milk the cow, even when it is a burger.

Development costs may have risen, but so has the units sold and the profit margins, and the audience for these games.

Just another excuse to try and milk the gamer, if i am paying more for a game, i expect it to be fully MT free.

"IDG President and CEO Yoshio Osaki says that game pricing has remained flat since 2005"

Erm... no.. games have been priced around £49.99 since the days of the Mega Drive/SNES.

No, it is one offer per account.

You can claim the $1 month offer and then it goes up to full price. The only other way is to either use microsoft rewards to convert points, or convert existing xbox live subscriptions etc.

@RazzerRedux

You can not simply let it expire and then renew for $1, unless you use fresh accounts each time.

lol, anything someone says positive about Microsoft or the Series X, somehow people read "PS5 is pants"

Same with the audio for both, the majority will not have the sound system required to support all the channels.

I'm surprised they did not mention "halo, forza, gears" in the comment...

I would say mainly 1st party, but they will show deals with 3rd party, as well as any game really that is on the Series X.

But primarily, the focus will be on 1st party.

In the UK, digital has to be marked up at the same or higher than retail prices.

They are not allowed to undercut them, to protect the brick and mortar game stores.

2186d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

If that is the case, i will hold off on new releases until the price drops to normal prices.

@StoneyYoshi

Another misinformed.

Games that are optimised for the Series X, this includes games that utilise Smart Delivery, will benefit from increased frame rates, better resolutions, some games even going as far as adding HDR. This has been stated already.

Sony have not announced the same benefits, and i would implore you and even actively encourage you, to provide an announcement from Sony stating PS5 versions will benefit from enh...

So what would you class as an "old game"?

Something that has not released earlier than the last 6 months? He said "old games" not "released this year"

There are some great games on the service that only launched last year, i still would not class them as old.

I can only go off what is on the service as of today, and not what has previously been on, and removed this year.

2019 release date...

old games on gamepass!!! lmao,

I think you need to look at what actual games are on the service

not as abysmal as PS Vita sales eh though?

16 million worldwide, now that, is abysmal, compared to the 75 million 3DS.

Or maybe the PSP you say? 81 million? as compared to the 154 million DS's?

again, abysmal when you compare the 2 stats.

That is 4.5 - 1 in favour of the 3DS

and 1.9 - 1 in favour of the DS (near to what we have with ps4/xbox one) but of course xbox sales abysmal - Sony did well...
