The reveal was huge. Good call on trying to keep it a secret up until E3.
Everything I read from Jaffe about this game is getting me psyched. I don't want AAA, I want BBB...As in those tasteless "B" movies that are offensive to some people, but a lot of fun to the fans that love them.
Could be true. This game is going to be a blast from the past for a lot of people, including those that have not yet bought a PS3. With the PS3 having Blu Ray, it only takes one game someone really wants for them to justify the purchase.
Do you know what they call sports where you use your body instead of a video game controller?
Sports.
Kinect & TV not needed.
I suppose the poker game would be better playing against real people. I found the AI to be very predictable in betting patterns.
NPC raises first...match if small raise, fold if big raise & you don't have good cards.
NPC checks on first bet, and you have a bad hand...raise, and the NPC will fold.
You have a good hand early...check, and don't raise. Wait a few rounds, to prevent NPC from folding as soon as you raise. If you r...
I think he makes valid points on the controls (although it really didn't take away the fun for me)
As far as expecting excitment every second while riding your horse around the countryside...well I think that is an unrealistic expectation. Who was really expecting GTA action while riding a horse in open country?
It's really quite simple. The new toys from MS & Sony are to get into the kid's game demogrpahic. That makes good business sense. But let's get real, there is no need to hype these toys up as anything more than the casual game interfaces they are. There is nothing to criticize for the companies wanting to offer these products either, but it is ridiculous to keep seeing the spin that these things are going to make everyone want to start jumping around their living room when pla...
It is funny to see this debate on something that still has a long time before work is completed. Everyone thinks they are experts on graphics, yet disregards obvious points like the project is still in development. LOL
Game systems should be all about the games. Right now we are seeing a lot of hype for both systems based upon a concept, not on games. I say meh to all this talk about what motion control concept is better. There is a key element missing in these debates...good games.
dang, that is a large file.
People looking at 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place right now are mistakenly thinking this is a sprint race about to end, when in fact it is a marathon race not even half finished.
"More fun" is a personal taste thing, and pointless to bring up as an objective review. You are commenting on things nobody knows about when you say "bad on all fronts", since this game is not coming out until next year, and they showed very little of it in the E3 demo.
Until I started reading forums & blogs, i assumed gamers were nerds that loved new technology. But when I see so many complain about new technology coming out, gamers start reminding me of old geezers that like antiques instead of new gadgets.
It is geared towrads the family audience. So of course it is not connecting with the core gamers.
Some visual styles with simpler graphics suit certian types of gameplay. Twisted metal is a game where everything is moving fast all the time. I think a simpler grpahic style is much more suited to that type of game. It actually makes it easier to play, because you already have so much going on. More eye candy is a distraction.
Anyone that stops for 2 seconds to look at texture details of the environment, are going to get their asses blown up by players like me. ;-)
the new 360 is improved by having built in Wifi. But I don;t see it as having "more punch". It has the same processing power as before, and does not have Blu Ray.
I myself have no idea if it is in trouble with how well it is going to sell...
But it is a pretty damn silly video game add-on. LMAO at all these previews I've seen of moms & kids jumping around their living room. Pew pew pew. ;-)
Bottom line - Corporations do not invest money in research & development to improve products if there is no competetion. Without Sony, the 360 would remain unchanged since launch, and the same goes for the PS3 if there was no competition from Microsoft.
Be one of the developers or CEOs of the game company. Have a lot of money.
