oh boohoo, the evil corporations are all bad.

Your overgeneralized soapbox whining is ludicrously silly.

You are absolutely correct. Being a dick is not even a crime, let alone being comparable to one of the biggest genocidal mass murders in human history. People sound like morons when they say these kinds of things.

I've always respected what Nintendo does...but they currently don't offer a product that suits me.

It's funny when paid employees speak out publicly to defend the dick they work for.

HD generation Oddworld. That would be awesome!

More BS hype about video games. It is an entertainment diversion. Too much is made if they are good or bad for you. What the f*ck ever, because it really doesn't matter what some egghead study conclusion is on how entertainment effects people.

Be aware too that to deactivate one of the five accounts you can use on different PS3's, it has to be deactivated on that PS3 by the user. Sony won't do it for you remotely, so you'll have to work it out with that person you shared it with.

I like having the browser, but yeah it is pretty weak. I wish it supported more different plug ins too, because it is hit & miss with different streaming video sites...but I guess that is what I have a computer for.

Haha, it would be funny to see this thing become a competitor to Sony, Microsoft, & Wii...because then we can add appleheads to the mix in the moronic fanboy arguments.

LOL, I have three of these so called "rare" games. I think they sold a gazillion copies of each one of them.

What I say is the Internet infrastructure in many places in the world, including the USA, is not at a place where digital download is convenient, tolerable, or even possible for many people. The backbones are owned by private companies that are more interested in rate limiting than investing major dollars to give everyone in the world gigabit speed end to end, from doorstep to web server. It is going to take time with incremental improvements before there is enough consumer support for digita...

I am guessing Sony doesn't want to take it on the chin with their next product, because competition is fierce. The wise move will be Blu Ray with backwards compatability to PS3 games.

I took the leap going from PS2 to non backwards compatable PS3, but I will not buy a next gen Playstation that does not have backwards compatability to PS3 games. Nor will I buy a box that is download only games, because I want a device that has more features than just playing games. I wou...

LOL, just like my PC is just a DVD player...all that computing hardware is a fabrication that doesn't exist. C'mon now, don't be bitter. Both 360 & PS3 are computers with optical drives. Their primary function is computing. Movies are a bonus with optical drives, although DVD has gotten rather long in the tooth, considering it is 15 year old tech.

Sounds like silly conspiracy theories. Now to talk you off the fanboy ledge...

Both systems have games that look really goood on them. And we should want companies we purchase products from to be "desperate to show off". That is a huge win for us that buy these products they want to show off.

Good breakdown on the financials. A lot of people don't understand there is more to it than count of units sold when they assume multiplat will always be more profitable.

these spammers are really annoying. Can't we get the axe to these losers accounts?

I am totally against games that force you to log online to a website in order to play them, even though you bought the game on disc at a retail store.

I used to be into PC gaming, and the last game I played on PC was in fact Half Life 2. I was very surprised & annoyed by the Steam requirement to play a game I purchased in a retail store, and stopped buying PC games after that one.

All this sounds really wierd, and lacking the good old "fun factor" we look for in games. And it also sounds funny that everything hyped up about Kinect games is some kind of fantasy future of what they imagine will be done with the device. Hey, I don't need to spend a few hundred dollars to imagine things that don't really exist - I can do it for free.

”We want games that are less about fun right now”

Haha, that totally explains why there are so many boring games out these days.

I dont think going over an hour & half in a single viewing is going to cause issues for normal healthy people. But I suspect that people that watch 3d or play games in 3d every single day for many hours are going to be f*cked down the road from cumulative effects.
