GT5 clearly looks better. This is not a put down of Forza from me, because both looked good. But clearly GT5 looks more photorealistic, especially in the first picture, where Forza looks more like a drawing than a photo.
I have seen some ads on TV, the Net, and in print. There is no need to go overboard in advertising a good product that a lot of people are already looking forward to. The idea is to make money without investing more than is necessary to do that.
You are seriously tripping. America is a car culture country. Henry Ford revolutionized the industry, so just about anybody could afford an automobile. People in the USA started hot rodding & racing cars shortly afterwards, and have never looked back since. Just two blocks from where I live is a county fairgorund where they hold several car shows each year, each show bringing 3,000-4,000 cars to show.
I am buying this game as soon as the store opens, and no bad review is going to alter that plan.
Don't know why more games don't offer this feature...let's put the hard drive on these consoles to good use. It is insane to have to hear the same dozen songs over & over again on games you may end up spending 100's of hours playing.
day one
trollers & a-holes will post on these forums no matter what articles are out there. They feel compelled to communicate their idiocy to the world.
Maybe you should read the article before commenting. It isn't intended to be a review.
I guess the term "hacker" is being used loosely here...after all this is a peripheral piece of hardware, not an OS or software application. If someone creates an unoffical app for a piece of hardware, is that really "hacking"? I think not.
Casual trolls hope to be hardcore trolls one day.
For me, mastering the input scheme of a controller in a console game (or keyboard & mouse on PC) is part of the fun of playing games. Learning to be good at that, especially when there are complex features in button combos, is one of the competitive aspects of playing video games that I enjoy.
I am not at all interested in radical change...not when it dumbs down one of the challenging aspects that makes playing games fun for me.
With Kinect coming ou...
You ever see the movie Minority Report? It looks cool on the big screen, but I myself do not want do so much movement to control a PC...when a keyboard & mouse is faster, & more human energy efficient.
I would like to see realistic AI...as in good drivers don't make major mistakes, but they don't drive like computers either. One of the unrealistic aspects of last game, prologue, was that NPC cars take the exact same line every lap. You could run the same race 10 times in a row, and the order of cars finishing would almost be identical every time. That kind of thing makes it feel more like practice sessions against ghost cars than the dynamic feel of a real race.
Seeing videos of a video game doesn't tell you very much about the game AI, because that is an interactive thing, ya know?
You don't sound very smart, when comparing a game that you have played to one that you haven't.
It is what it is. Being defensive about what it is only gives credence to claims of what it is not.
...must buy Kinect...must buy Kinect...$500 million told me so...must buy Kinect...must buy Kinect...
The mixed message of combining fun & war is what gets people torqued up about this commercial, but not TV shows where violence is just grim. Parents can monitor what shows their kids watch, but it is hard to prevent trashy commercials from being seen between the shows we let them watch.
If you are going to act it out on TV, then show the real results. Show the horrible deaths. Then cut to the scene of family members crying. Might as well keep it real if they are going to go there. Otherwise it is a total BS commercial. Making light of war to sell toys.
Not changing rims a major flaw? Looking for 22's with spinners for your Ferrari? LOL
wondering how a brand new game that is going to set the bar at a higher level could be considered a dinosaur...is it just because of the franchise name that people think this way? I guess MW2 is a dinasaur too in that respect...a dinosaur that broke sales records.
